The Hornet. 96 S-10 2wd to 4wd

I forgot about him buying that from you, I never thought about it coming from something I got from him lol I ended up getting a piece of tubing with enough wall thickness to bore it to match the different OD of the long travel yoke and the stock joint. Turned out pretty good, it just needs something other than the military goodyears. Not enough truck weight to make the tire work.

Noticed a few Jeeps on my last trip had these louvers on the center section of the hood. Bound to make a significant difference in under hood heat. I bought these from a place called RodLouvers out in CA. Came with the aluminum louvers and all the stainless hardware.

I ain't no professional fabricator, but I think they'll do the trick.

I thought you had real problems to fix!

I'll give you the full rundown if you like. I poured some Seafoam in the tank, clogged up the fuel filter, and hurt the fuel pump. Both bushing bolts backed out of my transmission crossmember and let the trans and Atlas do the shimmy. That unplugged my VSS and left me with just 2 gears and no "AUTO". I'm hoping some better Loctite will fix that issue. Power steering got so hot it melted the plastic corrugated cover off the lines. Gotta get to a junk yard and see if I can source a cooler to put in the line. Other than those, she drove me right back on the trailer and didn't leave me stranded. Hell of a shakedown if you ask me.

If you find a trans cooler off a 7.3 and you got the room for it they are awesome cooler and hold about a quart extra

I'll seek one out. Thanks for the advice.

Cowbells GONE.jpg

Anybody who has been around my truck wheeling has had the same complaint. "Get rid of those cowbells!" Finally they're gone.

Bought a pair of these HD 1" clevis mounts from @Barnes 4wd
I'm feeling pretty good about my welds, but if somebody on here smarter than me thinks it's unsafe, I'd like to hear it.

I would have just put a heatshrink on the rings to quite it down, but the new mounts look good.

I appreciate the vote of confidence. I'm still lacking 100% confidence in my welding ability. Just proudly saying "it ain't broke yet" and knocking on wood.

@Loganwayne I didn't have room for that cooler you recommended. There's a brace that runs vertically halfway across my radiator. Forced me into a smaller square version. Derale, $40 from Summit.

Just make sure there is a decent air gap between them. Otherwise they will heat each other up.

That cooler is mounted to the A/C condenser and the A/C doesn't currently work. There's an inch gap between it and the radiator. Should be fine until I decide to get all fancy and repair the A/C.

Is that for the power steering? I need to add a power steering cooler to my 2500HD. The hydroboost gets hotter than hell just during normal operation and when I tow something heavy for any decent distance, I can feel the heat on my legs and feet coming in through the hyrdoboost. The pushrod and brake pedal will get hot too! It's a little ridiculous, I think, that my 1500 Silverado with a vacuum booster has a power steering cooler, but the 2500 with hydroboost doesn't have a cooler.

It's actually a trans cooler, but I'm using mine with the power steering.
