It works better if you leave it be until after the ice. The ice is going to fall regardless. But its easier to clean up when it's got a nice dry powder under it.

I'll find out tomorrow, I only cleaned off a portion of the deck. It was easy to sweep inches of the dry snow that seemed weightless unless I piled it up good. We have 2 8x10 pieces of outdoor astroturf type carpet I'll put down on the walkway to the stairs and I can lay it ontop of some ice if it's stuck to the deck. I swept 4 times and it's about clean right now.

About 5" here and sleeting now

Took 5 hours to drive from East Tryon Rd to Sanford today. Tryon, 401, 55 were clogged. Ended up taking 42 all the way to Sanford. Towed a 2wd truck for two miles to get him home. Wasnt bad except for the jack wagons clogging up the roads in cars :) . Passenger side wiper stopped working about 4 hours into the trip :-( gotta fix that tomorrow I guess.

................... don't forget that sweet Ford 450
Its actualy a 350 but you would'nt believe how many people have tried to buy that thing. Its worth more to me than anybody would be willin to pay.

I changed it while you were typing!.........I drove a 79 F600 4wd dually soil testing drill rig in the 80s. It was a BEAST, top speed 50mph, downhill. We got it stuck in a stumphole one day, hooked the PTO winch to a big Pine and pulled the tree down on the truck! The stowed tower for the boring drill saved the cab.
