what REALLY happened !

Getting more here in Midland now. My road is fine to drive on, much easier on a half a ft of snow.

Around 11" or so my deck in Concord and still coming down pretty hard. Had to chip through a layer of ice from the sleet last night.

We had a little over 5" until it started sleeting and freezing rain. It is nasty now, very slick and crunchy. Tried to get the ATV out this morning, but it is too slick for a 2wd Blaster like mine, just slid around and spun the tires.

Yesterday [wed.] I had 3" & a lot of that was sleet. Got up today [thur], at 8:30, was already snowing again. Fell heavy all day, til now, about 12:30. I too, had to break the ice to measure 6". It's very crunchy!
I can walk on it with out breaking through. It's past now, Has quit, & Sun is out. Been worried about my boat cover/tarp; it's holding, but riding Low!

It has been snowing good here since about 10:30am.

my trees getting icy now but it has about stopped falling, the geo is worthless now, its just too deep.
all hope is lost, now awaiting the end...

Still snowing hard here. Just went to the grocery store and they were completely out of milk except for the soy and almond stuff.

A few flakes here now, outside thermometer says 34 so getting a little drippy. I have 6.5" of snow in my driveway right now and over a 2' drift in front of my front door

how does this happen snow drifting? curb?

No curb, hit a pavement patch at high revs with the rear meats.

I'm sure the majority of the damage was done on the trails. It didn't actually break off until I tried to back into my driveway. Popped my transfer case linkage into neutral too. I haven't crawled under it dripping wet to get a better look at that.
