Toy run Callantee 8-9-8

Sher PM sent:Rockon:
Ok looking like it's shaping up to be a great run,Ronnie and myself will be giving everyone a small round 1/2" dia. sticker for their rig to show the owner how many rigs gave toys.
We really prefer toys over $ because of the logistics,we will accept it tho' and buy toys ourselfs, but we prefer for everyone to give from their hearts and minds..........it's more personal then.........so :driver::gitrdun:......
As for trail times,I hate to "make" people stick to times,I will have a small tire group 33"s etc. that will leave camp at 10am.We'll run up welder then over towards armorall and swing to the right and drive up the mountain and endup on skyline.
A few others have step'd up to lead trails/excursions etc. Thankyou:beer::beer: I will let them run what they want to.
I will talk with them.
Let's all get out and have fun
c-ya'll on the trail.

All right guys and gals, this is shaping up nicely.

When people show if you can head to the 1st cabin,we'll have a guest book that we'd like folks to sign, not full names but scrren names and group maybe.

We'll hand out the "dots" for windshields and finalize the runs,as everyone knows their are several areas to run.

If someone knows and wants to lead the hardest area which I believe will be the "top of the world" run let me know.

Also a run up armorall, pull cable and then were ever that leader takes them.

I'll lead a more mellow run for those in attendance which will be wheeling and sight seeing:popcorn:

Also we Team Turtle will have a BBQ plate style dinner availible for $5 a plate it'll be two pulled BBQ sandwhiches, beans and warm 'tator salad,we need kinda a headsup on numbers that would like that.

Doug,
Go ahead and expect CYJKrawler and myself to lead the big wheels.

I am bringing a couple of rigs with me as well, so that's 6 plates from us.

Sounds like I will attend also. I could probably bring 20 0r 30 matchbox/hot wheels cars.
Good for boys and girls. I have tons of them.

Does anyone know if both cabins are rented? I will call and check.

I'll plan to run with you. If it's not too crowded I'd like to do pull cable a few times. What time do you want to roll?

Cool:beer:

Dylan,I have the 1st cabin rented thursday-sunday call up there and see if the 2nd cabin is rented.

What time do you want to roll?

I kinda expect folks to roll out by 10,this gives folks time to drive 3 hrs and unload,BS etc.

Ronnie will be at the "pay station" all day as usual,so when people showup (later) they can get with him,he'll except toys and pass out "passes"(dots) this is an all day event so when ever folks roll in they can do their thing.

I will be up there Friday and camping. So when ever is good for me. I know some of the Dixie Bogger boys will be staying in town at the motel, so by the time they get up, go eat, get to camp, unload let's say between 9 and 10.
You didn't get to go to the tower or TOW last with me, so we can make that either first or last.

My cousin and myself will be there either Late Friday night... or early Saturday morning...

I know the majority of the trails but cant freaking seem to find TOW very easily... I'd like to get up to that area and wondering if it's marked any at all now?

Chris

Good news and bad news.............
Bad news is.........all the folks that wanted to buy a BBQ plate on saturday night after the run........we won't let you:flipoff2:
Good news.........we will be offering a free BBQ plate for participants in the TOYS for ROCKS toy run.
Right now we are going to be prepared to feed about 60 people
we will do our best to get everyone something to eat,we just have no idea how many folks will show up.......so 'til everything runs out we will feed you.
as for beverages......B.Y.O.B.
There will be canopy's set up in the parking lot to "register"
for the run,it will be run by volunteers from the community center.
.
1 1/2 weeks left:driver:

Is anyone heading up Saturday morning? I cant exactly remember how to get there and would like to follow someone. I live in Boone now so meeting up with someone would be pretty simple...

My jeep can follow on the bypasses, but not much more than that, Im just coming to watch the carnage

EDIT** If anyone wants to head up Friday but doesnt want to camp, let me know. Ive got a couch and a floor here...
