Ultra4 China! Team USA will have some NC4X4 representation :)

Been following ya on IG. What an awesome opportunity. I recall the Bomber Fab guys went to China a bit ago, IIRC

Give 'em hell J and watch what ya eat.

Many Moons ago, Kemosobe, 3 CTB guys with Sponsorship form Ford, took their full size Bronco's to Dakar, I believe. Did pretty good! As for getting back home, Customs tried to Steal the Bronco's, & wouldn't release them. I forget the exact details, but I think insurance paid off on 2 of them, and 1 or 2 were finally released after several months. It's been a Long time!

And rodney I wanna hear this story one day around the fire.

I've been uploading a bunch of videos to Facebook. Data plan won't let me get them in here unfortunately.

John Eller, Scott Sills "aka Mud", and a ghost otherwise known as Bob Hazell......Im pretty sure I got it correct.

Was not so much Dakar as a land navigation race similar too. But not near the budget and miles traveled. None the less they were hero's to me at the time.

Yep. It was Warn Adventure Morocco back in 95 or 96. I think Mud still had his bronco and I think JP sold his.

^yes, got pictures of them all pre-riding globe just before that race all in a line- with my pos in back
got lots of pics / videos of Hazels BIG scrambler on the OG dirty south tire combo - 44" TLS's up front an 44" boggers in back.
Hazel did the 'sports in the rough' back in the day. I ran shotty/mechanic in a Safari Triathlon in Ocala that he promoted. fun as hell, but at 19 years old, I was way over matched in $$$ but we finished because we could straight up 'wheel our asses off- finished second to last with a more than 50% attrition rate. in my buddys 304 powered cj5. I had to put the clutch rod back in after jumping head first into a deep mud hole on first day. hit so hard we twisted the frame enough to shoot it free of the vehicle. took out a front dash speaker and used it on a rope to drag the swamp to find it (utilizing the magnet) , then had to put it back in with that nasty swamp ooze dripping in my ears and eyes but dammit we did it and finished. Hazel was the man, so was Robbie Mozely - true pioneers

You the Winner! That's right!
I know at one point, they ran red white and blue matching OJ broncos with BIG warn W stickers on the hoods. 35" BFG's and winches front and rear - yes IIRC they had issues getting their vehicles back into country. that was back when CTB was the only club around and we actually 'destination trail rode' - ride all day in, camp, ride all day back.

Found 2 of the 3. Not sure which is who's. And Robbie, Yes, I had forgotten that. Look close & his Original black CJ-5 is in the picture!
I hit Rotate & even Edit, sorry they won't stay upright.

I think it was his Bronco that received a can of exploded beans from a campfire one night. His window was down next to it at a UNF trip with the CTB.
Edit. It wasn't intentional. Just a random event brought about on by alcohol and some cool dudes like Wayne Reep.

Was that back when Mud, JP, Bob, the CTBs, and the BFG guys came to URE? Everyone camped at group camp. Boy that was a long time ago...
