URE Jeep Stuck, Rescue needed

I will be up there around 1500 tomorrow to help with the jeep and get a good idea of which way is the best to go with it. Thanks for any and all help he can get for the Jeep.

Thanks all for the help with this. It's really appreciated. . Darin I will try to get off work early and head down to assist. I'll message you to work out details.

So do you still need people and their rigs for help tomorrow? Or do you have all you need, don't want to just be in the way...

Looks like we will be ok.... Will message or tag you here if we get in a bind

Sure wish I lived closer for these little adventures...... A friend is looking at going next weekend and get the Explorer.

I am surprised that the rangers don't have any equipment that they could use to get it out..

also surprised they are waiting for volunteers to do it and not planning on there own unless I misread the above

The Forest Service has a loader they could possibly drag it out with but are concerned about loader/trail/water bar damage. They are still in a pinch for manpower as a result of the fires out west and appreciate any volunteer assistance we can provide. Ranger Walker is not asking us to do it but is providing an opportunity for any enterprising individual or group :driver:

And that will not be any easy extraction where it is. Either way is going to be tough. Would be easier if had not been totaled...

I hope there is some kind of investigation...

That loader would be ideal. Could easily rig the front end off the ground and just like that, the non-steering issue is solved.

I bet that explorer has a steering wheel lock where you can't steer without a key, I would plan on having a way to bypass that.

If someone can get me the VIN I can run it and find the last owner/ or stolen

I would be willing to try an extraction, with help! I may can get some rollers ....

Got a group going friday afterwork to drag it out. Have rollers lined up and my brothers rig to drag it up the hill!!

Why the hell would any decent person destroy a vehicle like that in the woods that isn't theirs?

It already looked a whole lot like that when it was abandoned.

I still don't get how someone thinks it is OK to destroy another person's property. Pissed me off. We have all been young, dumb, and broke (I am making a huge assumption that the owner of the explorer fits this description) and it is insult to injury to have your stuff destroyed.

White trash

You cant fix stupid
