Next time I may slip a piece of cardboard in between the maps before I laminate to make em stiffer.

Planning on making the breakfast at 8am.

Will there be a sign, or just look for all the shady characters? heh.

I take it there's not been any more news about an augur. So I am going to get mine fired up tomorrow to run the bugs out of it. LOL

No word from anyone yet, so that would be a good idea. Its going to be hot and humid so everyone make sure to pack extra water/drinks. Makes me wish for the cooler weather we had back in March when we started putting up the guard railing. :beer:

Also don't forget the check the OHV Trail Report, it has been updated with new trail info. And some things you should know if you are planning on riding Rocky Mnt Loop or Falls Dam during the week(s) after the July 4th Weekend. :beer:
 
I have been given the day off, so if anyone has an extra sit I can plant my arse in, I would greatly appreciate it. I don't think my Altima will make it past the trailheads (but I might be talked into taking it further) ;)

i got the sign up sign from JC. Cant miss it. Eli i will be getting at the out post early...around 7 that morning to change tires and stuff. you want me to set it up when i get there outside of eldorado?
 
I'm planning on following Hot dog guy down, so I should be okay I was just wondering in case I either went down alone or got separated/lost. (better not -gps)

Also I'll have a seat in the jeep.

I have a member that lives in Clayton, it is going to be 4 of us and were taking 2 jeeps, more than welcome to ride but going to be in the back.

I don't know of anyone specific but if you don't get any offers I would check the poll list and send some PM's out to anyone located in that area. I never hurts to ask.

That would be great, because I won't be up there until closer to 7:30AM. Gimmeboost will be convoying down with me, so we both will be there before 8AM.

Also, again if you plan on making the breakfast please post up if you haven't all ready. I will be talking to Chris (Outpost Owner) tomorrow via phone and need to give him a headcount.

I can make it to the Hunt camp, just looking for a seat to get to the work areas. If the offer still stands there, I will take that back seat. :beer:

Also, I plan on bringing a ratchet (1/2" drive), a 2ft breaker bar, a 15/16 socket and wrench, a rake, and maybe a 1 1/4" socket, if I can find it. Anything else I need to bring (besides gloves, lunch, water, etc)?

In other matters... I believe Granny, myself, and the Mrs. (not to be confused with Granny) will be attending the workday. We will probably treat ourselves to breakfast at the Outpost, then later, maybe, one of those award-winning hot dogs from "The Hot Dog Man". Keep in mind, you Old Goat, that you still owe for that insulting comment you made regarding my trail map! :lol:

IMPORTANT! TO THOSE EATING BREAKFAST AT THE OUTPOST:
As you know I have been working on this with Chris, and the general idea was just to get a group breakfast thing going. But Chris has gone above and beyond this, and has included a sweet deal for the NC4X4 volunteers. All you have to do is mention that you are helping on the NC4X4 Work Day when ordering your food. A big thanks to Chris for this, this was totally un-expected. :beer:

(I won't give the deal away, but lets just say you will notice when you pay for your food).

Bad news, I won't be making it up. Just had a work emergency come up and have to go to Norlina for the weekend. Not happy about this.
 
Ole blue is taking me down. He luckily lives about 4 miles from where I'm at. Awesome deal! See ya'll in the morning ^_^

I woulda stayed and wheeled a bit but a cold soak in the jacuzzi tub was calling my name, followed by a cold shower and a cold beer in the shower.

After a long, cool shower, I feel like I am no longer a member of the walking dead. Wish the augers had worked but I had a great time anyway. It was great putting names/faces with screennames and I hope to see you guys again.

TSM (sorry, forgot your real name), thanks for giving me a seat in your Jeep.

Terry, I mistakenly told the girls where I ate lunch and got to eat hot dogs again for dinner ("just like the Hot Dog Guy made us that time"). :beer:
