is speeding that bad around here tho? i feel like the PDs time could be used more wisely. Last weekend atleast 4 ppl got shot in concord at a block party. and atleast 2 i know of died, seems to me like thats more important then speeders.

But the likely hood of a person arrested for murder/mayhem actually paying a fine is pretty slim compared to the amount of speeders who will at the very least battle for lower/no points, but stil pay a fine and attorney fees...

Speeding pays, arresting murderers costs money.
 
I like the idea of seizing cars and then using them. Saves the state money buying them. Hence lower taxes. I think we should never buy a car and just use the old drug dealer cars. That would save a ton on the budget.

I think its a great idea to use them.....Whats the big deal...They siezed it from a drug dealer so the dept should get to keep it....
 
About 4 years ago I was pulled by a F250 4x4 in TN. He came up behind me while I the left lane with cruise control on, got right up to my back bumper and flashed his fog lights at me. I was in my Buick GN at the time so I punched it and got over. On came the lights! I quickly pulled over. He thought it was funny and didn't give me a ticket.

I had never seen one used before.
 
saw him with the lights on today! west bound on 264 between 540 and 440. bad ass car!
 
saw him this afternoon, had someone pulled just past the lake wheeler road exit on 40 heading east. i nearly wrecked trying to get a better look, doh!

I think this is an inexcusable abuse of taxpayer dollars. That car should be sold at auction and the funds used to pay salaries or buy standard police cruisers. There is absolutely no need for police officers to drive around in a $70k sports car.
Our state is currently in a budget crisis! The legislature is raising taxes like there is no tomorrow and cutting education spending at the same time. Meanwhile, these officers are acting like they are entitled to a 500hp Corvette just because they seized it! Bullsh*t! Sell the car and use the proceeds to lower my taxes. I'm tired of paying for their toys.
