the other job is Global Performance Motorsports. we do anything from basic maintence to full customizing on anything from Jeeps to fullsize trucks. for a while i just worked as a gopher in the shop, but now i think i'm going to start doing the parts ordering and internet sales (ebay). so if you guys are looking for a deal on some aftermarket parts, give me a hollar, and i'll try to hook you up. this job is way more fun. we had a supercharged SVT Cobra mustang in the shop today. 503hp at the rear wheels. insane.

I'm also looking for a part time job in the afternoons and/or weekends if anyone in the Winston Salem, Greensboro area knows of anything please let me know.

Really interesting thread.

I'm an electrical engineer and work for a local computer company. I have done assembly language coding for DSPs, Windoze device drivers, OS/2 (anyone remember that?) device drivers. Spent 5 years doing ASIC (chip) phsyical design. Now I'm back to embedded programming for a little chip on the motherboard of servers that monitors fans, temps, power supplies etc, so hopefully you'll know your server is about to crash before customers start complaining.

Im a Pipeline Technician for Williams, working at an LNG plant in Stokesdale.

Well I have been working at CARS, building 69 Camaro crate bodies. But I just scored a new job at www.ramfabrication.com . The new place will hopefully be more of what I like to do, off the wall fab stuff, and hardly ever building anything alike. The camaro's were starting to get a little old, and stamped sheetmetal from Taiwan sucks!

I work at a small family owned automotive machine shop.

Just think in another time you could have been working for me instead of my brother. I might not have been so understanding of the time off to wheel because if you took off then I couldn't go :p

Just kidding -- I would have never hired you (just kidding) ;) -- love ya mean it

I am actually a teacher -- 5th grade. I also teach at the college -- preschool teachers. I have more degrees than I will ever use and probably will earn more in my lifetime. I have my administrative degree to be a principal, but with the way schools are going I don't know if that would be the best move.

Lately, I've been a production superintendent for a pharmaceutical plant in N. Raleigh. Got 3 supervisors and 50+ production folks to worry about.

We do high-end classic's and street rod restorations, we've got about 60 cars inside currently in process and a heafty back log, we are also in addition a licensed General Motors shop remanufacturing '69 Camaro crate bodies, with '67 mustang fastback's by spring with other bodies to soon come. I work in the parts department, and I also handle all the deleveries may they be across country or local.
