I'm now driving for PODS and going back to start on the masters in the fall.

Currently unemployeed/laid off(seasonal work). Go back sometime in August. Wood Stove Shop, basicly I grind and do finishing work simple job though not as fun as some others I have had. Also a small time mechanic mainly for my own reasons but occasionaly help others, spent a year in an auto paint shop made it to prep. supervisor before it went bankrupt. Can do a bit of vehicle painting/airbrushing I focused on the airbrushing more. Before that I spent a year doing mill right work, traveled around a few states with a couple of welders, mostly done the cutting, grinding, and repainting of the pieces we repaired though I did some welding as well. Also have 2 years of Computer engineering tech. So far I have built 3 PCs including the one I am currently using. I'm pretty much a jack of all trades and a master of none. I know there is always going to be someone better than me at something but atleast I try. I learn anything fast so if anyone wants to pass on some more knowledge to me feel free to do so. I could really improve on my welding and painting skills if anyone near me has the time to school me.
 
Well, change from my last post in this thread - as of this past Monday, I'm a post-doctoral research fellow in Raidology at the WAke Forest U. Medical Center. Which basically means now I'm actually drawing a (slim) salary and paying social security, but stil lan underpaid overworked science geek.

So if anybody wants to participte in a research study and get an MRI of their brain...

Is that some kind of pest control job ??
Do they give you a cool truck to drive with a big bug on top of it ??
 
United States Marine here... been in for 17 years... been jeeping for about 11 years..
i have been messing with things since i can remember.. get it from my family.. we fix things.. and keep them working.. so i get my drive from them.. now my interest is in metal fabbing.. cut/weld/bend/drill/whatever.. plan to start my own business after i retire..

There was a school in California I was looking into going to once.

Went into IT instead, less wet : )
 
I went to school in Cali when I got out of the Corps. After completion of school I hightailed it to Louisiana and worked the Gulf of Mexico. I'll most likely be going back to the offshore business when my current contract with Uncle Sam is up.

Check out Oil, Sweat and Rigs on the Discovery Channel. Pretty much focuses on Gulf of Mexico commercial diving.

That would Be "Radiology". Like, "Study of things that emit stuff".
 
Um, I think that should be funny GIRL. Hopefully you need to know the difference in that to get a Post Hole Digger. (Or Piled Higher and Deeper).:flipoff2:

Eh, that kind of stuff is for the M.D.s. Us research guys don't bother ourselves with details and particulars, more into the Big Picture...

Account Executive at BellSouth Advertising (sell ads for the Yellow Pages and yellowpages.com) have done it for the last 5 years. before that I was a firefighter and worked in family business with my father; everything from restaurants, hotels, amusement parks, and billboard sign advertising.

Moved here from michigan and was an avid Snowmobiler (aka sledding) and that is why my name is andysleds. That is about as creative as I am. I know a little about a lot and like to build anything from Houses to Jeeps. If anyone in the Triad area needs help framing or anything give me a shout, I work for Beer and parts. Also like to kill stuff!!!!!!
