What have you done for your health today?

Finished Phase 1 of 75Hard yesterday and man did that suck ass! (Thank goodness it was only 30 days). Lost 3.6lbs during the past 30 days - not earth shattering results but manageable & maintainable (total lost since 6/14 is 16.4lbs).

I'm excited to take a break & eat some pizza! I'll continue with my workouts, water, & focusing on whole foods until I'm ready for Phase 2.

I got a quarter that says your posts in this outfit will get more likes than if I did the same.

Awesome! One question -- What's the benefit of the 5 minute cold shower (from the app screen)? All the others are clear to me. Seems to me that's just aggravation.

There is a suppposed small benefit of BAT conversion/activation caused by cold exposure...

I’ll be honest, I had to look that one up. That’s pretty interesting! And I bet the 5 minutes seem a hell of a lot like 5 hours to boot. I’d rather run an extra 5 miles than a 5 minute cold shower…:lol:

Anybody else doing Squatober? So far, I'm loving the programming. My current max is 365, hoping to get in the 400lb club at the end of the month.

For those that don't know, Squatober is squatting every weekday for the month of October. So far the legs are pretty sore but I'm hitting all the numbers.

My knees can barely handle 3 days per week. No need to post my wimpy numbers 😂

What's this thread doing on page 3?!? We mustabeen slackin...

Harder to get the walks in with cooler and shorter days. Some days it happens at lunch and some days is by headlamp after dinner. Kinda got back into a squat routine, so trying to keep that up (and added push-ups).

My goal for this year has been to do 200 workouts with F3 in 2021. This morning was number 175, so I expect to meet that goal.

On a different note, one day last week the guy that was leading the workout had promised no burpees. well, he used a workout his wife told him about from Burn Bootcamp where they apparently have a different name for burpees. Hence this meme that I sent to him.

I'm still doing the same routine. We've been hiking and biking a lot lately. All of that caused me to skip leg day a few too many times, and a few more than I realized. A week or so ago I decided to do legs. I was smart and only did 3 light sets of front squats. About 5 days later I figured, screw it, I am good, and did 6 sets going heavier toward the end. BAD idea, LOL. I should have done one more medium level workout before going so hard.

I got up youtubered some stretches. Did a solid 30 minutes then some calisthenics. I know I have gotten out of shape. Like semi skinny, depressed, unmotivated, burnt out of life out of shape. I've lost 7 lbs just not eating certain foods. I don't drink sodas. I like beer. 6 foot 213 right now. Lost a lot of muscle doing what I do now.

I feel more woke up. Deffinately confirmed I can't do 10 minutes of cardio. Picking up smokes for a while again and working nights 6 thirty to 6 thirty 5 days straight starting Sunday are killing me. My weekend is contantly fubar.

I got to change.

@jeepin' jen It's a strength program focused on deadlift for the entire month of december. You will deadlift/workout everyday except for the weekends. It's all percentage based, usually using 90% of your 1RM. There are also other movements like squats/bench as well as accessories to do each day. Typical day would take around 1 hr to complete. Last december, I went from 365 to 410 after deadcember so the programming definitely works.

Follow @penandpaperstrengthapp on instagram. Each workout will be posted the day in advance.

Highly recommend it and they offer other month long programs as well for about $20 a month.

Thanks so much, I'll check it out! Maybe I can do that with my street parking workouts 🤔

Done more stretches and body exercises.

Really searching for a down loadable program that does not use Bands, Weights, or a Gym. Interested in mobility and real world strength.

Did some math and have discovered I do not get very much protein on a daily basis. Turns out probably less than 45 grams a day if I am lucky. I'm a carb nut so I'm researching protein intake without eating every piece of chicken I can see or turning into a "nut".
As a note I cant do dairy. Small amounts of hard cheese is about it.
