What have you done to your rig today?

Pulled the engine to finish welding under the hood. Finished the engine assembly, painted under the hood and got the engine back in. Also fabbed up a hydro reservoir mount, installed a hydroboost and MC and finally got to do a little body work... Long weekend!

My fiance's xterra had some Brake noise,so I took it all apart to see what was going on.

Front pads were shot, and rotors needed to be turned.

Rear brakes were near perfect but a bad axle seal on the driver rear. This reminded me why I hate dana 44 rear axles.

Have to cut the bearing retainer and crack it, destroy the bearing, then cut and crack the inner race, just to change the seal.

No room to get bearing separator under it in the press without ruining the retaining plate.

Then changed the diff oils, tcase and trans oils and the engine oil.

I found a bad ujoint in the front driveshaft at the tcase. I hope with was the vibration we could feel at 70. That will have to wait until after work tomorrow.

Got back to work on mine today. Found the sources of the noises and luckily, it's nothing major. Re-adjusted the valves, post break in, and that cleared up most everything. Still need to run new exhaust to clear to most of the rest of the noise.
Located the source of my oil leak, my brand d#$@ new valve covers are warped like crazy, so the old ones went back on.
Found one of my old injectors was leaking fuel on the driver's side collector, so a new set on the way.
All in all, I feel much better about it than I did last week.

Went and picked it up from Buckeye Performance and gave it a shake down drive. Chris built me a sweet custom 3 link, track bar, 1 ton steering setup, and moved my PSC steering ram to where it should have been. I thought it drove good before but it drives better than a new one now. Awesome work BUCKEYE PERFORMANCE!

Detroit ez locker install on front 3rd of the samurai. If my cousins would stop getting married I would have a weekend to finish the install and axle rebuild.

Family tree with no forks?

Changed the hydro lines from -6 to -8, made a big difference at low RPM. And hit the garage door ..........again.

Knuckle rebuild on the samurai. Installed my long slip front shaft on the Toyota. Played with my new co2 set up. Beat around in the creek a little as a shakedown for formal shakedown. Bolt check, grease fittings. Jealous of everyone who made it to Harlan.

I got motivated to change all of my poly inserts on my Johnny Joints and then can't find my snap ring pliers. :(

I wonder why...

Cleaned all the debris out from the bead on my left rear tire and straightened a small ding in the rim so i wont have to pump it up every week.

Upgraded the tow pig and trail rig with new and improved Bearcat 880's, tuned them (special thanks to @Jason W. ) then flushed the coolant in the Jeep for this weekends fun at Adventure Offroad Park.

Ordered the last adapter I'll need (LS to np435) so I can finally get that out the way. Spent time today figuring out how I'm gonna run the clutch lines atleast on the MC end.

The brown truck showed up with the cheapest aluminum wheels I could find, and some of the best looking in my opinion:
