Where did all the green snakes go?

Used to find green snakes all the time. Now, haven't seen one in years. Am I just not seeing them, or are they about gone?

Found this one sun bathing in the grass about 3 wks ago. Can't tell you the last time I've seen a green snake though.

I am seeing plenty of black snakes, king snakes, copperheads.....just no green snakes.

Saw a few brown water snakes over the week, nothing green.
Luckily no venomous nope sticks yet.

We see them every so often but they're always pretty well camouflaged (and fast). We see plenty of black snakes, garter snakes, and DeKay's brown snakes, and the occasional black racer or copperhead.

I saw one about two weeks ago in the driveway.The cat had it cornered.

Y'all come up and ride bikes with me anytime you wanna see some timber rattlers. I know of 3 dens on the side of some popular trails.
I wouldn't suggest picking one up though

No green snakes here! This guy did not want me to pass. He was at a customer's house and the only one I've ever seen there in over 20 years so he was dispatched.
