Alright enough of this Bullshit. Where the fuck is all the toilet paper and paper towels?

Luckily we had just stocked up with a massive supply of both a week before Coronavirus hit, so we have been good for a while, but the supplies have now run out. Either the factories are shut down, or people are hoarding the HELL out of the stuff. Spare bedrooms, crawl spaces, and attics full of the shit.

How many rolls of each do you have RIGHT now? Fess up!!!!

I generally keep a 3 month supply of cleaning supplies, paper products, canned foods, and anything NOT perishable. Always have. Like you I just so HAPPENED to have made a Sam's run the week before the shit hit the aisle and had restocked the pantries. We're running low on flour and baking supplies, but still have a few gallons of bleach, dishwasher detergent and paper products.

I got lucky last week and rolled up on the guy at food lion putting out Scott TP (septic tank so I need to use single ply) but it was only a 4 pack.

Made a run this weekend for supplies that were running low again. Did another 40lbs of ground beef/mahi/salmon at the butcher shop. Stopped at about 7 grocery stores for toilet paper and baby diapers. Found the diaper size I needed at the first store, but don't like them, took them anyway. TP, I finally snagged a 6 pack at the last store. We still have plenty of the lavender scented, gold trimmed, silk layered stuff my wife and girls use...but I prefer a little more heft. I was wondering the exact same thing though...how have we not normalized in 3 months.

I’ve yet to see any TP, paper towels, or bleach in the stores since mid March. I don’t know if anyone “hoarding” it. And if people were, the supplies would eventually replenish by now.

I gave up looking for it and just ordered via Amazon.

I have maybe 4 packs of 12 rolls of each TP and paper towels, only because I accidentally doubled my order on Amazon. Hopefully it will last long enough to ride this out.

Right, I figured by now, at worst everyone would have built up a nice safety buffer of both items and the shelves would slowly begin to become full again like pre-CV. It is NOT happening. I don't get it.

I have also noticed the empty TP shelves recently and am blown away. I don't understand. Surely people have stopped hoarding it, and production should be caught up? It makes no sense.

I just go buy some at Walmart when we need it every month, haven't had a problem. We were just at Target yesterday, and the shelves were half full on a Sunday. Must be different where you are. I'm not trying to buy it at grocery stores though, because they don't stock as much and are usually out.

I ordered a case directly from Quilted Northern. I think it was 32 rolls? Ordered a case of paper towels too. Haven't really looked at the paper aisle when we go to the store.

Spare bedroom here:flipoff2: We haven’t bought TP since before Christmas. Kinda nice working for a paper company sometimes.

They were limiting the purchase, but we took a short vaca to Pigeon Forge last weekend. The Food City near our cabin was stocked full, of 4 packs. Made sure to grab a few packs when leaving town.

I have been able to find it occasionally at the local IGA, here outside of town, and a time or 2 at walmart grocery. My wife gets all her cleaning stuff from Grove and hasnt had any issues adding paper towels to her monthly order. My mom has been finding it at ALDI almost every week.

For curiosity sake, I looked at some commercial bulk stores online. If you wanted to purchase the new rollers, there seemed to be no issue ordering coreless TP, in bulk. I also have a friend whos business orders wholesale. We discussed ordering a few pallets with her other orders, but never convinced the wife to pull the trigger. (she didnt think they could get Angel Soft).

I have been to wal mart, I’d say, nearly once a week since April. I have yet to see a single roll or TP or paper towels. Same with HT and Food Lion. I did find 4 rolls of TP at Piggly Wiggly some time in April and a few weeks ago a 4-pak of towels are Lidl. But in Greenville and South Boston, VA, nothing. And I check every time I’m in there. I haven’t really needed any until recently, so I gave up looking in the stores and just bought online. Finally got tired of spending the time looking.

Local janitorial supply house here has been well stocked on the commercial stuff (cases of standard rolls) since nobody is doing their business at work.

Lowes grocery here in town had cases of it (all no-name commercial stuff) a couple of weeks ago. Cases on the shelves, and cases stacked on the floor down both sides of the tp aisle. Still had some of it last week.

Saw "something" coming as this spread in China, and stocked up before coronavirus hit the US. Yep, I was part of the problem. But, I figure, if SHTF, as long as there are women out there, they'll make their men trade guns, food, ammo, anything for some TP.

My wife takes care of our household paper/cleaning supplies. She’s had an Amazon subscription for paper towels/tp/baby wipes for a while now...and buys in bulk. We’re working our way through a box of tp she probably bought last year...

Amazon has been cancelling her subscriptions since all this went down though.

I found paper towels at big lots (they also had an abundance of single ply TP, but I ain't got time for that!)

TP I found at both Wal-mart while buying Oil, and the Target on the fancy side of town (North Gate mall if you are familiar with Raleigh) seems to lack for absolutely nothing!

I haven't seen TP or paper towels at any other store since the world ended.

We were well stocked before the lockdown. As supplies trickled in we supplemented our supply. Municipal tp and pt are still available in bulk but they are a completely different product and made by different manufacturers actually.

Y'all need to go hit up your local Mexican grocery store. They have all the shit that gets hoarded b/c a much smaller % of people go there.

The world hasn't ended, we just don't have the sanitation supplies, take a shit=take a shower=all good, use the towel to clean off anything left.
Yeah, I use my wife's towel for that.

Musta caught food lion just right...walked in today after work for some cheese...entire paper product aisle was full. Limited options, but full. Limit 2 packs per customer...you’re looking at the proud new owner of 2 12 packs of angel soft double rolls
