Double shear: a condition where both sides of a bolt are likely to shear because they are not in double shear ( see also redundant definitions and circular references)

Let alone the drag link is 8” longer than the track bar, lol.

Common Cav-Fab set up for an xj. I have it on mine and it's not that bad. Better than stock.

On this TJ you white knuckled, but it had more contributing factors. Also didn’t have a full turning radius because of the too short of a pitman arm for the ‘78 f250 front axle. Buddy of mine bought it and thought it would just be a few adjustments. Turns out half the brackets were coming off.

That there is probably one them 110 flux core jobs! Dang near weld pads on dozers! And my 100 footer drop cord gets me anywhere.

And the microwave powered plasma by that gouge. V-that out and fix it. Crappy welding makes for a higher bill........
"But just weld over it, makes it better........."
Edit....or that's a tear out?
Hope you got a good owner to work with.

That was under that failed weld. It was “u” out then welded smoothed and the bracket went back on. all the welds were ground down and U’d out some, then rewelded.

Then boxed in to hopefully add some strength. I know TJs are prone to binding really bad there.
