whos ready for DEER SEASON?!!!

all ive been seeing are a bunch of doe's. one is a big bulldyke looking MF'er that looks to be around 200. Going to go further back into the property soon and set a stand up where it has recently been logged in hopes of finding that buck.

if I was not in city I would say come on over..

I have seen 2 large ones walking around behind my shop.. and the other night I heard one about 20 feet from back wall.. scared the crap out of me :)
 
Got my hunting done last week but I traveled to Canada to do so, Caribou meat... Yum! As soon as I get my photos back I'll throw a couple up.

thats about all i have right now. from what ive heard from people who have seen it, it was killed by a kid who just started hunting within the past month or so. he bought a rifle at walmart sunday night, got it boresited and went hunting monday morning. "they" (and you know how reliable "they" can be) say that it grossed 193 b&c, which would possibly make it the new NC state record non typical.

i know of several people who might or might not attend NCSU that hunt inside the city limits with bows, and have killed some nice deer there. :huggy:

id be more than happy to slip in behind your shop with the ol' martin and a climber and take care of your deer problem. no one should have to have the crap scared out of them in their own yard, thats just un American

Andrew did you see the dead buck on the side 54 (chapel hill rd) right before 40 it was there till the day after thanksgiving?

8 pointer... big as hell and dead as hell. A friend might have borrowed his antlers, since the deer didn't need them anymore

nah i didnt see it. must have been hit after i went home for break, otherwise id have seen it on the way to class, and stopped and got the antlers myself.

we got some funny looks from folks when we were cleaning my roommates deer under the carport the other night. im pretty sure we traumatized a couple yuppies :lol:
 
Be careful about taking a road kill deer's antlers, believe it or not it is illegal.

btw, found out some more info on that deer i posted earlier. turns out it was spotlighted sunday night. game warden picked it up today and two people were charged. there are a lot of pissed off hunters around princeton/rosewood right now. it really sucks that such a quality deer was taken illegally.

That sucks, some POS like that takes a trophy deer illeagally, hopefully his genes got passed on.
 
I had my property surveyed on tuesday. I walked the lines this morning and found a dead buttonhead. Guts out and hams chewed off-DAMN coyotes! Looks pretty fresh, I'm gonna call the surveyor and find out if he saw it. I'll leave it where it is and sit over it soon, hoping like hell they come back:sniper:
