Heck, 10% would be great most of the time! My planning is usually much more ambitious than my execution!I only ever get about 10% done of what's on the daily list![]()

Isn't it crazy how the wrenching gods work? Plan a 10hr thrash fest, get 1 thing done that really should have only taken an hour. Walk out there after dinner after work to "tinker for a few mins" and you knock out like 10 tasks in an hourHeck, 10% would be great most of the time! Cool project!! It has inspired me...so much so, that I carried two boxes of parts out to my project.Heck, 10% would be great most of the time! My planning is usually much more ambitious than my execution!![]()
Yep, I made a lot of progress on my truck this week because I didn't plan to work on it. Just went down there to "do one thing real quick", and 3hrs later I crawl out from under it, covered in sweat and grease, having accomplished something I've been putting off for months!Isn't it crazy how the wrenching gods work? I've had a few people ask that I've the years. In my case, I've used an OEM column as a starting point on each full hydro I've personally driven. Doing so doesnt give a good place to mount an orbital on either end of the firewall.I’m always curious why people do what they do. Why not mount that orbital on the firewall and then run hoses down to the ram?
I will add the thought of hot PS fluid potentially leaking on my legs is a no go for in cab orbital for me.I've had a few people ask that I've the years. Since it can be anywhere, I put it near the pump and ram. Keeps the hose runs short that way.
I installed a PSC kit on a friend's true buggy back in the day and put it inside the "cab" like you're referencing.
Basically it all comes down to packaging.
A leak is one thing. A line rupturing and spraying fluid everywhere inside is another...I will add the thought of hot PS fluid potentially leaking on my legs is a no go for in cab orbital for me.
And the return lines will be run towards the inner fender area well away from the headers.Another thing is having most of the system mounted in front of the engine lessens the chance of a bad line or fitting spraying on hot headers too. The resi mounted off the master cylinder in this case you only have a feed and return line in that general vicinity. The two lowest PSI lines in the system.
