Maybe I'm wrong but I can't think of any other breed of dog that requires a support group to convince the public how safe the are.
Being a positive influence on a breeds reputation and helping the community spay/neuter/educate is nothing new.
In raleigh:
German Shepard Resuce
NC rotties
The positive pit bull
Dobermans have many groups fighting for the education about their breed.
The media steers minds. If you've ever watched CNN vs Fox News should be well aware of this. If not then your ignorance is your own bliss.
PS I bet the trout groups and tree huggers have alot to say about silly people riding around in the woods in lifted vehicles destroying precious trout grounds. Sound familiar?

head down the street moved out and left him in the basement to starve to death. After 3 IV's, hook worm treatments, a week at the vets, he survived. He is a great dog who loves to play with all the kids and other dogs. He knows he was saved/rescued and it shows. With that being said, I dont kid myself, Petey could do big damage to someone if he wanted to. I have raised him to be a member of the family and to listen. but thats no guarantee he wont change one day.
) there are certain bloodlines of pits that can range up to 10k. The bloodlines such as Remyline are not your average pit, they are physically different and are "more" domesticated and for that very reason. Most serious pit owners work to breed this "naturally aggressive" trait out of their dogs, which I do as well.
