Your do Everything Rescue Vehicle

If i was stuck up on a mountain up there right now, i would want a dirtbike. Put my hiking backpack on and ride to get supplies.

I'd take a U-Joint or Quigley, Just easier to find Quigley ;)

I can believe that.

I suggested a UJ setup because I've seen how many Quigley vans they've had brought to them to be fixed that have had some sketchy stuff. Usually frames cracked or torn out from very poorly designed/braced panhard bar brackets and suspension geometry.

Either way, 4wd vans are cool AF! I can't explain it, they just are.

I'd have to learn to fly.

By that logic, if somebody had about 150-200 '68 Chargers, that would work too :D You can just jump them across places where bridges used to be!

I live in an area that got hit super hard. My 2 cents is anything with tires smaller than 40” isn’t enough.

5 ton military trucks are a good start. A skidder with chains or dozer maybe. All these little vehicles on 35s aren’t big enough TBH

Edited for more clarity: my family has 4 rock crawlers amongst us. They’re just not heavy enough to do the work for the most part

Currently have a M1151 HMMWV at the house to serve this very need, but I'd really love a M1078 LMTV

For similar reasons I sold off all calibers but .22, 9mm, 5.56 and .308. Which is: General availability

While a nice cummins swapped suburban would be ideal, the issue becomes scavenging parts and pieces in SHTF situations. You need access to what may be lying around, and or discarded.
Exactly why I said Robinson R44. Them things are everywhere.

Clearly you roll with a different tax bracket of friends

I'm more use to "kia boys" that can hotwire a korean shitbox and roll on :huggy:

In a dream world my current F250 flatbed with removable sides. 42 - 44" tires. Winches front and rear. Extra fuel tank.

I'm gonna stray from the pack and say my wife Crosstrex has been amazing, sips fuel which is a big dill when its in short supply. I had put more aggressive tires on it and its tiny so it fits more places. Plus it has a sunroof that can double as a gun turret.

Or horses, they run on food and water, can cross large bodies of water and traverse rough terrain

Having been a horse rider growing up and can tell you they can traverse some rough terrain.

I’d rock this, but I ain’t got it like that.
I see those and earthroamers and pity the mechanic that has to replace the motor under warranty
