URE Jeep Stuck, Rescue needed

I saw the explorer weeks ago when it first got there. It was in a whole lot better shape then now. May not even be stolen, could just be some ungrateful spoiled teen.
What gets me mad is that they would do it there, in the middle of a public forest. It looks so awful to visitors and first timers, awful in general. So disrespectful to treat the trails that way, and just leave it there when the fun is over and it's broke.

I have dragged a trailer into worse spots in Harlan to recover a broke rig. Just tow in winch it on and drive out

It already looked a whole lot like that when it was abandoned.

No it didn't

The problem Is it's at the base of the intrenched hill climb, so it's either a REALLY long way back down the trail or up the hill climb then a short run out. The hill climb got a lot worse after all the rain!

Snappy has got this, Greg has skull drug a lot of rigs, including a 4runner (missing the entire front knuckle) from deep within the bowels of Black Mountain.

I will not be there due to the distance, but if I was nearby I would be there to join the fun. I haven't seen it. But if it was yours, it would get back on the trailer.

Since its just an eyesore and everyone likes to point the finger....

....let them point the finger at some proper examples of what this sport/hobby is all about and drag that sumbitch to the parking lot.

I and another guy are heading down Friday around lunch. He is brining his 4 wheel steer wrangler on 44s. We can help pull it out if need be, Jeep's axles are geared 22:1

For the folks coming out today. I am just doing some figuring but I figure 4 winches, 2 winch extensions, 6 pulley blocks , and about that many tree saver straps " should " be more than what we will really need . Also a bunch of shackles to make it all work. But I like to go out prepared. @snappy. Can you make sure between the folks you have lined up we have that stuff . Thanks brother.

Seriously? You would either need to tow down dutch john or all the way from the other side through some rough areas. God please let me know if you want to do this it'll be a youtube hit.

if i had time I would

man if I wasn't getting the truck ready for coming to URE this weekend I would join. if you need a 4th truck though I can move things around and be there. Our club will be there starting Thursday night so If there is anything we can help with @snappy to recover or clean up please let me know.

I am at the Outpost right now, heading up in a minute to the truck.

Can someone get me the vin on that exploder. My friend Lenny has been in contact with Deborah about it.

Thanks for all the help out there folks. Sorry it was already up by the time some of you showed up but wanted it on the trailer before dark. Heard there was another Jeep on the other side broke down but folks heading in to fix it.

Thanks for all the help with this today. Saw at least 8 people come out to help even though there was nothing in it for the group, just karma points. Goes to show how strong of a community we have. @snappy and I got some info on the Explorer after the rescue, i'll let him give the details.

I can't thank everyone enough for coming out and helping me. I heard there was a lot of people to show up just for my support. I'm glad to have my jeep back home safe and sound. I will never forget this experience of how a community comes together to help out another friend in need. Thanks again for everything and will try to get better now as this is a big relief for me in my recovery. Thanks,Evan
