BRAIN DAMAGED TJ build

Any specific reason the rear lower links could not be mounted inside frame? Just curious as I'm about to make my own rear 4 link. Getting info for prep reasons.

I believe it was because of room. I think I didn't have enuff room with my transfercase and all the fuel lines. But that would be a better question for chris he's doing the work I'm just sitting back and watching.

I have found that wider lower links prove to have better high speed stability on street driven rigs.

Brakes are done in the rear, and installed the rear flex line. Coil overs are in and Chris has the coils ordered that I will run. Drives shaft sent off to get stretched. Gas tank is in and lines hooked back up. Rear bumper cleaned up and prepared for powered coating. Rear corners have been formed but chris said they're not done yet. But it is coming together beautifully can't wait to go test it out.

Those of you that know my knew it sounded like Abramson tank rolling down the trails.part of the problem was that the 2.5rough country were just completely worn out. Well part of my upgrade was to move up to a 3in spring in the front because 1 I needed to and 2nd was because the old spring on the drivers side was bent. But with the knew 3in springs the bend is gone and it shouldn't make the noises it used too. So Chris replaced the old with the new and Wawa no more bent spring. Plus he's got my front long arm 3 link in.

Jason Watson was kind enough to send me some pictures of the jeep today since I've not been able to make it up there. Coils came in front 3 link are installed upfront and powered coated new extended flex brake lines installed up front and I'm sure there more done but still can't wait to get it back and see how all the work chris did works.

And here are my old lower control arms. As you can see they took a beating and I'd recommend Chris at Buckeye performance to build you some if you want or need new control arms.

Load that damn thing up today and test it out at Golden! I'm sure @BUCKEYE PERFORMANCE INC. would like to know how it works so it can be tuned if need be before Moab :huggy:

The cage can wait till next week :D

Chris sent me some photos today. And troy I'd love to make it to Golden Mountain but I'm going to let Buckeye performance finish before I take it out.View attachment 243243View attachment 243244View attachment 243245View attachment 243246View attachment 243247View attachment 243248View attachment 243249View attachment 243250View attachment 243251
Oh damn you're going to cost me some more $$$ @BUCKEYE PERFORMANCE INC. with all this fancy shit. I'm betting it's going to work like a dream when the crew is done!

Chris and Nathan at Buckeye Performance are doing a awesome job. Can't wait to get it on the trails and see how it all performs.

Nothing wrong with poly bushings frame side. Nothing at all. This isn't and Ultra4 rig. And poly is quiet and easy fixed if worn.

I believe the reason is 1 I'm cheap and 2 I still drive my jeep often but chris could give you a better answer.

Not saying anything wrong with it, just curious.

I figured it was because he street drives it.

Tj has some flex. All suspension work is done. Now I have to get some wider wheel spacers for the rear. After Chris got done playing on his RTI ramp we pulled the jeep in to pull the rear tail lights rear corner armor, rocker gaurds, windshield guards, front tube fenders, and the armor above the rocker guards. To get sand blasted and then powder coated. Plus found out that my almost new front shocks are too short so now I get to order new shocks so I don't limit my up travel.
