Couple more decorations to show.

Brooke's cousin is somewhat of an artist. These are a couple Christmas gifts from back in the day. I thought the rv was a great place for them.

Christmas gift from Dec. 2001. Just a couple months after 911. When the country did seem like 1 star instead if 50.

I hung it right by the door!

Alrighty...you have already saw the new a/c up on the new roof, but you didnr see how we got to that point.

Here we go!

After all the luan was in place, I sanded down any sharp edges and started rubber roof prep work.

Wood dough makes uneven edges more even.

After the wood dough dried, I sanded it smooth. The leaf blower was a great way to knock the dust off. (The darker panel in the middle is the sole surviving original roof panel)

Whenever I deleted the gas fridge, I had to fill the hole in the roof. Easy enough to do with 1x2s, liquid nails and wood dough. It's nice and smooth!

Managed to get Maycee up on the roof to help out a bit.

filling in a few more screw indents with plastic wood at this point. Goes on pink and dries looking like wood. Sands smooth.

Then it was time to get the roll of rubber roofing in place and start gluing.

Roof laid o0ut so it can relax a bit. It's nice and hot up high in this shed. Should make the rubber easy to manage.

Then I folded back the edges and added eterna bond waterproofing tape at every seam. I have done this process to every seam on this rv..not just the roof.

You should come up here and do this for a while...Its rather warm up on this ladder. Wishing I had scaffolding to walk on, instead of constantly moving ladders.

After the roof relaxed a bit, I peeled back half of it and started rolling on plenty of, you guessed it... Glue!

Hey! Theres my helper checking in on me!

Brooke was a great help on this part of the project.
A lot more work happened but no pictures of the rolling roof into glue process. But it turned out great for a 1st timer. Couple of smaller air bubbles, but it looked better than alot of YouTube videos on the same subject.

Ok..going back to the future here...or something. This definitely happened before the roof went on.

I split some 2x3s in half and started building the bedroom cabinets. Brooke held the top board in place and I went up on the roof( no rubber yet) and ran several 4 inch screws down through the luan, foam and ceiling paneling, to capture my top board. It is fastened really good and should stay put for a long long time.
Next I cut a matching lower piece, and two small side pieces. I screwed and glued the lower board to the side pieces, then attatched it all to the walls via 3" screws going into the wall studs.
I left some lighting wires dangling out of the corner so I could tap on for my dual reading lights above the bed/ under the cabinets.

Cut some paneling for the under side

Then started adding bracing and white styles

I added foam board to the insides. Which makes it strong and rigid.
Of course this was all glued and screwed together.

Then I laid carpet inside on top of the foamboard. It was stapled to the framework.

Nice and strong!
