What have you done for your health today?

My son's school was closed today, so I asked him if he wanted to hike up to Callaway Peak from the BRP, or bike the Bicentennial and Highpoint Greenways. Biking it was. We had a GREAT ride.

In case anyone else is looking for a really nice stationary bike to get you through the darkness of winter, you can find these Flywheel Fly Anywhere bikes for sub $500 and they are a commercial grade Life Fitness IC5 bike that's just been rebranded. I knew nothing about these until I started looking for a way to de-fat a little this winter and stumbled across one. Long story short, Flywheel was competing with Peloton in the $2000 plus monthly fee at home bike category, Peloton sued for patent infringement and won, and all of the Flywheel bikes got bricked in 2020, so people are unloading them cheap because its useless without a display. However, with a $5 app for stats and a USB keyboard, instead of a brick, I now have a full readout with ANT+ capability and a 15.6" android tablet connected to the internet :D

Last Friday during our F3 workout, I fell on metal bleachers and the right side of my back hit the corner of said metal bleacher. Now I’m pretty certain I cracked a rib. Still have a lot pain, even hurts to cough.

Unfortunately we leave tomorrow for Universal Studios. With 3 back surgeries, I knew there would be some rides I wouldn’t ride, now I think that list just got bigger.

I had been thinking about dusting off my old mountain bike for over a year. I installed some new tubes and tires last weekend, and took it out for a short ride during lunch today. I'm fairly certain that it has been about 9 years since I rode this bike. The bike and rider both performed OK.

My second outing on my MTB this morning. Kernersville MTB park is great. My neck has been hurting all week since the first ride(old injury), so I swapped the stem riser off my old road bike onto my MTB, and also installed a shorter steering stem with a slight rise. It was more comfortable but my neck still hurts. The next few days will tell if that really helped.

Here's the prototype @Jody Treadway and I have been working on. Maybe you could be the 3rd leg of our inverted tripod? You want the middle seat?
