Bourbon

Quite obviously she appreciates your jaw line and complexion as much as I do and she took care of you. They probably had to put ‘floor is wet’ signs all over the store after you left.
$20 is $20

Definitely the best knob creek I have tried. Maybe I just like high proof stuff cause the flavors are so concentrated.
The makers bottle just looked cool 🤣
The sagamore is good. Not heavy on rye. More of a toasted caramel with a hint of rye. Still good stuff.

I was recommended a bottle of Yellowstone Reserve at the ABC store recently. It is a Kentucky Bourban and was about $40 for a fifth. Anyone had this before?

Yellowstone is ok…for the same $40, I’d rather have Clyde May’s

So what you are saying is it is better than my Evan Williams Bottled in Bond I was gonna drink

First time at this store. Place is legit. They get a truck every Friday. They’ve got a bunch of this left as of 9 PM today.

That IW 15…is alright juice…but it’s been pushed to the back of my mid-level stuff. Usually only comes out when I have folks that want to start buying ‘good bottles’, but want to try something before spending $50-100 on a bottle. It’s a gorgeous bottle, but I’d put it about on par with a Weller 12yr.

I had never tried it so was happy to find it.
What all would you recommend in that same price point?
Preferably something I can find. I typically go for at least 100 - 130 proof with bourbon.

‘Finding it’ is always the tough part…and when you do, is it an ABC state with reasonable retail pricing, or non-ABC and you’ll pay double. For me, that price point and proof…by far my favorite is Noah’s Mill, and fairly easy to find in NC. Some other ‘easy-ish’ ones I like that are pretty good and can be found in NC are Belle Meade Reserve, then Old Forester 1920 Prohibition. A decent barrel proof bottle that can be pretty easily found in NC is Elijah Craig barrel proof…I wouldn’t say it’s fantastic, but is aged 12 years to take some of the edge out of the barrel proof heat, and are flavors I typically enjoy…but is still EC quality. Weller antique 107 is another decent one, but kinda hard to find, and I typically don’t think Weller lives up to the Internet hype…but are decent pours.

When you can get Weller at retail prices then they become good pours. Y'all must have inflated shit back in NC which makes me sad because I wish you could enjoy the goodness without hesitations.

Only ones not in my cabinet are the 1920 and the Noah’s mill. I’ll have to give them a try.
I wish bellmeade hadn’t cut the reserve down. It used to be cask strength and varied in proof.

Suitcasing - Urban Dictionary

https://www.urbandictionary.com › define › term=Suitc...

The act of stuffing dismembered body parts of a murder victim into a suitcase in order to transport them from the scene of a crime to a dump site.

Look...I just want some Blantons smuggled across state lines. I don't really care how he does it, I just giggled to myself thinking about how movies smuggle stuff, and the shape of the Blantons bottle...and I thought that visual was hilarious.

Yo…are you familiar with suitcasing???
Yeah I watched Shamless, Frank broke the record coming across Mexico with Coke.
They were very tight getting the bottles out (no pun....well maybe). One BT a day and one allocation per 3 months. Today was Sazerac, tomorrow? 🤞Blantons, Eagle rare, Weller, EH Taylor. no one knows not even the 10 employees I asked. Wife even suggested we stop there again one the way to Evan Williams.🥳🥃😍 Glad I didn't have to mention it. She's gonna be a Bourbon hound soon.
