‘Finding it’ is always the tough part…and when you do, is it an ABC state with reasonable retail pricing, or non-ABC and you’ll pay double. For me, that price point and proof…by far my favorite is Noah’s Mill, and fairly easy to find in NC. Some other ‘easy-ish’ ones I like that are pretty good and can be found in NC are Belle Meade Reserve, then Old Forester 1920 Prohibition. A decent barrel proof bottle that can be pretty easily found in NC is Elijah Craig barrel proof…I wouldn’t say it’s fantastic, but is aged 12 years to take some of the edge out of the barrel proof heat, and are flavors I typically enjoy…but is still EC quality. Weller antique 107 is another decent one, but kinda hard to find, and I typically don’t think Weller lives up to the Internet hype…but are decent pours.
