C'mon you apes, do you wanna READ forever?!

Check this handsomely handsome fellow out. (Also on audible and Spotify under 'Real-Life Fiction Podcast')

I even shout out to NC4x4 in it.

Thats nice. Book? :D

Gotta keep ya motivated!

I'm working on it!

Trust me, I can't WAIT to get it finished and get started on the next one. I'm really excited about Book Five and have a decent outline already made for it.
Good job! You know I have to keep you motivated.

This has turned into kind of a pattern for me, as I get close to finishing up a book, I post the first couple of chapters. And since book 3 had a heckuva cliff hanger... these are important.

Enjoy responsibly.

(Also 75% certain it will be titled 'Battle Prehistoric')

So when do I get my "proofread " copy?

It must have been really cold when you wrote those two chapters! That's not even the whole tip! I cannot wait for this book. Totally hooked and so is the fam.

It was an interesting experience! I'd never written something so... I dunno. Vengeful? Murderous? Emotional? It was kinda strange how well that flowed from me.

And a bit worrisome...

In other news, my early birthday present arrived today.

A Pedersoli Model 1886 in .45-70... with the exception of the buttstock, it's the exact same rifle that Jedidiah Huckleberry Smith uses in my books.

I'm going to go shoot an elephant now. Or maybe a Trex...

Got a really nice review from Mike Finn last night.

.
Sample:

"The humour in the book improved my enjoyment of it. It stopped it from being too earnest or too depressing. It also prevented situations from being clichéd. Jed’s views are conservative (for an ex-criminal and revenge killer) and he is the man telling the tale, but the people around, who are often larger-than-life examples of Wild West characters, tend to smile at his determined politeness, his formality around women and his instincts towards valour in the face of danger.

At its heart, this book is an adventure, filled with danger and courage and conflict. It’s always clear who the bad guys are and how they should be dealt with . The good guys aren’t saints but they’re trying to do the right thing and they’re brave enough to fight to keep as many people alive as possible. The fights and battles feel real. There’s lots of blood and lots of death but none of it is gratuitous."

First attempt at a back cover blurb for 'Raiding Prehistoric'...

Don't judge too harshly, unless you like it. Then judge away.

And as an aside - after this past week off from work and writing like a madman... I'm going to smoke this end of the year deadline. Probably get it done in time to send out premature copies to interested folks before Christmas.

Also, I wrote the final three chapters today.

Most satisfying and enjoyable thing I've ever written. There is no better ending.

Edit - P.S. @UncleWillie - You ever find your copy? Offer still stands, I'll send you one. You need to read it before you read this one. :p

Look forward to it! Still need a free proofreader? :D
