Random pic thread.

In my mind this was a "what kind of women, a woman think men want vs. what men actually want" scenario.....or something like that....

Saw this today while getting fuel. Any idea what he's about to tow lol? It appears to be a bunch of trailer dolleys welded together.

I got an email from our VP today showing off how they covered the parking at our factory in europe with solar panels:

Of course I replied "This is great! Can we look into something similar in the US? It actually gets much hotter here and we get more sun since we are closer to the equator at 35 degrees of latitude vs 48 degrees of latitude like the factory?"

Unless the panel is set up to track the sun (individually) you're only getting 125ish days worth of sun to feed those panels. Duke is not longer giving the rebates, so your ROI will be about 467 years. But if you NEED to virtue signal that "You're helping" or you need a democrat in your pocket, go for it

The Cincinnati Zoo did that. I sat thru an engineering presentation on it and was impressed. It makes more sense than taking up empty fields. And everybody’s cars will be at least 20 degrees cooler when they leave in the hot afternoon.

We spent a zillion dollars putting structure and holes in the roof in the US, when we could have kept the cars cool and dry instead. And no battery bank, so if the power goes out from Duke, the building goes black, even though we have solar

(I love that I took this picture on a cloudy day in the rain too :D)

At least they’re not clear cutting old growth forests to install those

Agree wholeheartedly

Also agree with Matt that putting this over cars is MUCH better, but only if the panel vendor gives you a hella discount and there's plenty of storage capacity
