Plugging away

Had some welder consumable issues which wasted a bunch of time but we survived

Had to pull out the trail welder for a few tacks until parts show up tomorrow :)

Lots of measuring and cutting expanded metal today

He was able to make a bunch of door frames also

He used an entire bottle of gas and a 10lb spool of wire so far :)

Yes we discussed no drive thru's

He has a lawn care business now that he plans to take to the next level once he graduates high school

Your son will use these skills the rest of his life! Awesome to see his work ethic attention to details. Rare traits these days. I am sure he has a good teacher and I am sure it makes you proud!
 
he knocked out a bunch of welding this weekend to get all expanded welded.

now we wait for parts to show up (hinges, latches and a few other small parts)

but progress may slow down as school started so he has high school and than goes to wake tech for welding classes 3 days a week. So most likely only weekends going forward.
