and since JOhn raised the drive train up he had to make a new floor and tunnel.. so here are a few pics of tunnel in progress.

Maybe it's just the angle of the pics,but it looks like the shifters are gonna be waaay up there! Maybe time for a short shifter.

As it is, in my professional opinion, you would have a hard time loading the top center tube in a shear situation thus negating the need for the perfect notch..
in tension and compression, this minor flaw will be undetectable.....as long as the tube is welded per industry standards....:driver:

All the juctions will be gusseted, so im not as worried about that gap.

Buggy builder, thanks for the insight.

Unbreakable, i "borrowed" some ideas. its different but not by much.

Well we have been working on the toy again.. so things are starting to look up..

rear 9" axle is cleaned and ready to be rebuilt

We got front 44 axle.. time to clean that one up..

we got seats ready to go in and could not resist the pimp gold paint

Those are sweet seats too - I recognize them from somewhere... ;)
 
That sure is a fancy floorboard....Much better than when I had the truck. You could see the ground.
 
JOhn and his Brother cut off the exo and finished welding it all up.. and tonight John and I painted it to get it ready to go back on..
