90's throw back.....Manche build

The Dixie Run will be a test and tune for this rig Jason. The damn thing is amazing.
Trust me.

I was wandering @mcutler and @Paul cause thats probably gonna be my shakedown too!!...Loading that bitch on the trailer foe the win!!!

Where else?! Been wheelin mine since 2010 and Im still shakin it down at Dixie!

LMFAO...every trip out with yours is a shakedown with what you put it through scott!!!

Fuel plumbed, including a stainless vent system.

Radiator and associated cooling lines done; heater ports and steam lines to expansion tank.

And one of my most favorite deliveries, not just because of where they're from, but it signifies that the end is near. Due to the repeat service they hooked me up with some swag and gave me the "rock and roll" clear coat treatment... pure sexiness ... for now - lol.

Btw, the fourth shaft is a universal long slip spare for front and rear.

I've had a recent... let's call it a heated argument, with my fuel system. Is that square run around your fuel tank a loop seal of sorts? Does that help maintain a prime on the fuel pump?

That is the roll over vent system.

Mo...

Plumbing is done - Yet to tag the mounts to the chassis and final tighten.

Wiring strung out to its general vicinity. It's going to be a breeze with the kwik wire harness and switches. @jeepn-jason is coming back out Sunday... she will fire Sunday evening.

Dash completely wired out of the box and into the chassis harness with a couple weather packs, gps antenna mounted and wired.

Not gonna lie, that picture of the dash, with all those wires, scares the shit out of me! I couldn't have that figured out by next year. Much less, have it running by Sunday. You da man! Not sure if I'm more excited to go to Dixie or see this thing in action.

Actually enjoy wiring... making something from nothing, with the help of 12 volts. These harnesses make it stupid simple. Every wire is numbered and typed with the circuit for feed and delivery. The fun part to me is making it look good.

I'm getting excited to get there next week as well... it's been two long years...[emoji26]

I wish I could make my pile of junk look good..... maybe one day. I have to say I have enjoyed this build and have even learned a few things. I've never done anything like this and likely could not. My hat's off to you sir.

This confuses me. Is the short shaft and carrier bearing for the rear and is it a way to make the rear shaft less vulnerable? What joints are those shafts?

No, the 2 piece with pillow block is for the front. Rear is a standard slip.

Btw, got them all in last night and cycled, no clearancing needed anywhere. Matching angles on yolks for rear shaft (6.5°), shaft angle at ride height 11°. using 3" of slip on rear, 2" on front! Close enough to perfect for me.... oh wait, that's a country song...[emoji41]

Right click, save. I've got that close on mine. Missing the filter. Thanks for sharing one that works.

anytime pal, I've never dripped a drop.

The old 3 sides and down trick. I do my crankcase ventilation the same way to keep oil from entering the intake when not right side up. Get to skip the mosquito smoker show.

Ah so the front is longer because the drivetrain is set so far back?

Yep. Pretty typical for any build with a buggy type subframe to use a two piece front.
