Back yard yj build

It's just something to play with/build for myself in my spare time to relieve stress. I guess if I want to go wheeling I could take my grand cherokee. You want to buy the backyard yj? I think drkelly is first in line.

Thanks, I always did like the round headlights better.

My guess is it'll have at least 5 different axles under it, 3 motor and drive train changes, 4 suspension changes, and 30 cans of spray paint by the time it gets done in summer 2015. lol.

LOL...yeah sounds about right. Except more like 25 cans of spraypaint...trying to cut back. LOL

The back yard yj is now a front yard yj and onto the concrete! Moving up in the world it is. Pulled it up with the grand cherokee yesterday!

are you planning to do something else with those rear shackles? Look kinda scary in the pic with the way the springs are sitting.

Definately not going to keep it that way. That is just temporary to get it rolling up from the back yard. :) I will be removing the stock rear crossmember and adding some beefy metal!

Also if anyone is wanting to bolt s 350/400/700r4 trans onto a 5.3 motor you have a few choices:

1. Use a 6.0 spacer and flywheel
2. Use a 5.3 flywheel with a 6.0 spacer to support th350 converter and you will have to elongate the holes on the flywheel for the th350 torque converter

6.0 flywheel and spacer

or

5.3 flywheel with 6.0 spacer. The spacer supports the center of the SBC TC only.

Then installed the Advance Adapters v8 engine cradle!

It bolts through the frame and the shock mounts.

The rear LED lights are in, I used a jig saw and cut off wheel to make the holes.
