Easier on Ron's arm, for sure.It seems like it'd be alot lighter than gas, if so.

Mine has a trigger lockHow did I get drug into this?
But seriously the Milwaukee is a weird strain. It isn’t heavy by any means but the angle the harmonica and the lack of a trigger lock use it for 20 Minutes constant and I’ll have forearm and finger twitches for an hour to the point my wife has been concerned before.
That's a good thing to compare on the bevy of blowers I have here.
I was really hoping they would do a total redesign. They did it pretty quickly when they went from Gen1 to Gen2 on the blower. I imagine it is well balanced. Even with a 12.0 battery on mine, it is fine, so 2x6.0 should be similar. But at $300 just for the bare tool, they cost as much as everything else with battery and charger, and have no performance advantage. By the time you get one powered up and a couple chargers, you're approaching $600 for a loud, subpar blower. I'm definitely a Milwaukee fanboy, but they really missed the mark on the blower, again! The dual battery Milwaukee blower is surprisingly balanced , I just demoed it last week at the ACE show. The other thing I learned is how the different companies will test their blowers with tips they dont sell to up their numbers. Milwaukees numbers are what one will do straight out of the box. It is louder than anyone else though.
The newer model 2724-20 is more powerful than the older 2728-20. I had both. Once I tried the newer one, I sold the older one. Newer one was better in every way.I have an older Milwaukee blower (2728-20) and it blows like crazy. I guess the new models are not as good?
Suprisingly the M18 string trimmer battery life is great. I can weedeat the house, pond and back fence line all on a 9AH batt. The blower eats batteries but the weedeater/pole saw it lasts way longer than you would think.@jeepinmatt have you ventured into the world of battery weed trimmers yet? Will you get the EGO trimmer too?
Looks like I may fire the yard guy and take up having to trim the yard at the house
The Stihl will still serve it's life out trimming at the Barndo and creek, where no battery pack powered unit would stand a chance, but the house, I just need to trim under SOME of the aluminum fence and the driveway/sidewalk.
This seems the perfect opportunity for battery

Like ^ said, the M18 string trimmer is great. 9Ah battery lasts longer than I do. I will probably end up switching to the Ego one simply because I can sell the M18 one and only have 1 battery system in the garage, and move all my M18 stuff to the shop. Also, I want the pole saw and hedge trimmer attachments, and my M18 trimmer is the older solid shaft version (which is better if you aren't planning to swap attachments). Since I want a swappy one, I'd have to buy a different Milwaukee one, so it's a chance to consolidate. The M18 one is very light and well balanced, plenty of power, and battery holds up much better than I expected. If you are thinking about buying one, lemme knowSuprisingly the M18 string trimmer battery life is great. I can weedeat the house, pond and back fence line all on a 9AH batt. Since I need a few things at the house I was thinking the ego combo pack with string trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer for like $600Also, Ego has all kinds of fancy shiz on their dedicated string trimmers (automated winding, automated feed, etc), which makes the head too heavy. Their multi-head system trimmer is a simple 90 gearhead with manual wind and is nice and light, so I'd rather have that anyway. The feel of the Echo string trimmer is what initially made me go down that route, but the trigger delay and lackluster blower made me take them back. Were it not for the trigger delay, I probably would have stayed with the Echo, but it was borderline unsafe and not conducive to efficient working. And if Milwaukee had a better blower, I'd stay that course, and the chainsaw is torquey and the string trimmer is great, but the blower gets used so much more that its the worst place to compromise. Both Milwaukee and Ego have a nice splined interface on their multi-head shaft systems, so you can't go wrong with either one.
I wouldn't. Its the mid grade blower, and overweight string trimmer. The 765cfm blower is lighter and more powerful, and has just as good of modulation. They don't have any of the good stuff in the combo pack. You can get the blower for $250ish on FB marketplace, hedge trimmer for $200 new at Lowes, and figure out what works best for you on the trimmer. I bought the blower outright at Lowes (minus 20% off for store card first purchase, which gives 5% off from now on), and waiting on a lowes coupon or good FB deal on the pole saw ($300 w/batt, vs $400w/batt for trimmer). Got the chainsaw off ebay, bare tool for $135 shipped.Since I need a few things at the house I was thinking the ego combo pack with string trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer for like $600

The last of the 3 showed up todayDid a little cutting with the Ego 16" chainsaw today. This thing friggin rips! It does cut out on overtorque a little more than I would prefer, but it doesn't interfere with use. I was also using a 2.5ah battery, so im sure that didn't help. Took 1 batt plus 1/5 bar on the recharge to cut it all.
