These headlight hoops tested my patience ALOT.

Headlights tab mounted, grille is...ahem...zip tie atm. (drift car style)

Joe found a good deal on a set of 40" Sticky Treps. He had already traded @Crunchy for his 17" TMI Beadlocks I did awhile back. Him and Adam got them mounted up yesterday. I torqued a few bolts to say I helped while I was working on another rig.

Mounted on bumps, she's low. ~17.5" belly at bump.

~3.5" off the bumps, so about 3" from ride height.

Corner weights were calculated this weekend, surprising how balanced weight wise it is. (we had a lot of simulated weight since the cage is fully done) Front was ~850#/corner and rear was ~800#/corner. The upper springs we have currently are 150#, lowers will be a 250#. Charts say that is light for the corner weight but we'll see, for the use this will see I'm a little timid to go with the suggested 121-114 # combined rate. Though any input here would be appreciated.

Some of the plumbing stuff will be in Friday so hopefully will be back to a driving status early next week. Rear sway bar should be in this week as well. To-do list is getting shorter but not short enough.

Call me out here if needed but isn’t the slider stopper supposed to help out in this situation? Bump your spring rate up after so much compression? So your rates are 111# then hits 250# after like 4 inches of slider travel?

The dual rate slider when it hits the stop transition you from your combined rate to the rate of the lower. Also helps prevent you from hammering the bump to some extent and depending on how you set them can help body roll. The issue we may face is having too much preload to get the desired ride height.

My understanding, if you have more than ~2" preload, then you likely need to up the spring rates. I havent wrapped my head around all of this yet, so I could be wrong. Also 120# to 250# seems like it might be a harsh step up, but if its only near bump, maybe that's ok?

The rot I've always seem are min of 1" preload, max of 2" with spring rates a min of 50# spread and max of 100#. I'm pretty green at the coilover world, most of my knowledge has been read or observed.

We've made more progress in the past couple weeks. Got most of the plumbing from Alliance in Greensboro, did more tube work (thanks to @adamk for the help!), Lower coils came in and limit straps were figured out, sway bar is in and a whole lot of welding wire was burned.

Got the hood fitted up a lot better to the grill. Getting close to time for disassembly and paint. Waiting on tabs to arrive from motobilt to attach some sheet metal.

Yeah we were talking last night about a shakedown run. Still not sure but we'll see. We're in that last few percent that take the most time.

Cut out some taillight mounts yesterday at work for it. I'm digging them, can't wait to get a plasma at home for more stuff like this.

I think both would fit. Small logo at the top with 3 dimples going down from the top. 2", 1.5" and 1"

How about this?

The other side has my logo in it. Some how we missed the mark and the panels ended up being a little different shape. Thinking the tub is slightly twisted on the frame. It'll be something I pay better attention to next time but you'll never know unless you know to look for it. Just part of learning, still happy with how they turned out.

More tube work. One more to go and should be done with tube minus the sliders and A/B pillar cage tie in.
