Could it be tucked under the last bit of siding extending down to the sheathing. Like a drip edge on a widow? My question if done this way is should it be over or under the tar paper? My head says over with a sealer seam applied between the flashing and tar paper.
Water runs the shingle may hit the flashing but channels down the paper.....
