sorry for being slow on updates but we are having a blast..

my avalanche has taken us everywhere, even places it probably should not have gone with 5 guys in it..

yes the qualifying is slow going due to people ending up on there lid, etc but still fun to watch.. the lay out an organization of this event is incredible..

we also hung out with owner of griffin radiator, he is very cool laid back guy.

few of us helped sean rose try to finish building his rig so he can race.. Keith Douglas has spent the most time over there..

talked with shannon campbell about his rig, Rick Mooneyham, etc all very cool guys with some amazing rigs that have a lot of money in them

we also found out the BLM is greedy.. they see how big this event is and have raised the cost of everything 1000% to KOH and even vendors.. and of course KOH has to keep fighting just to keep this place open..just crazy

funny story is we were hanging out at Robby Bobby tent eating shrimp and this guys is talking to us and tells us how he used to be in fayetteville NC at base.. well small world, he is the guy that bought my first 16 foot trailer I built and sold.. and he now lives out here and is stationed at 29 palms and still has the trailer

Here are the overall time standings after today. Remember there is another day of LCQ and qualifying tomorrow. Larry is sitting in the twentith position. But he will need to stay ahead of 33 other competitors tomorrow who will be trying for one of the top 20 LCQ positions. The KOH labels here mean those drivers already have a guaranteed spot in the race. The top 20 LCQ's will be inserted where their times land within the KOH drivers. Cheri

Well another great day..

more pics have been uploaded.. you can tell that I pretty much took all the pics from the same spot so they look the same but are of different cars..

I will state this with I am not a Robby Gordon fan never really followed him.. but sure was cool to see him run the LCQ and then after his run drive to the top and park and then come hang out with all the fans and watch the rest of the racers take there turn..

tonight we are getting ready to go party with everyone at the King Shock party and Poison Spyder tent.

so far I would say all 6 of us CNC4x4 guys agree this is the best trip we have ever done and if you are thinking about coming you should do so.. sooner then later.. the more we talk to people the more we keep hearing how much the 29 palms marine base is pushing to takeover all the land here...

Well sorry for no updates during the day but it was very hard to get internet access during the day..

more pics were loaded last night and late this afternoon

we started the day by watching everyone start and then headed to jack hammer and got to watch the 1st 20 guys come threw.. got to see some great passing going on while they were coming down jack... then we headed to chocolate thunder and all the guys we watched come down were stuck in a huge pile up so we got to watch them all go up that trail.. after that we headed back and got to watch Erik come across the line for the win..

just a freakin great day.. we had a blast and if you check out the pics you will get to see some of the racing we saw..

I will upload more pics tomorrow.. even have some of Erik right at finish with his freinds and family..

We had a awesome time yesterday at chocolate thunder!! We volunteered to help oh with crowd control and let's just say it was worth it!! I was so close to the action that I almost got ran over a few times lol!! I will see if I can post my videos up when we get back home

Well we are on the road and heading home.. made it into Arizona and heading east..

and to start the ride off right we watched the movie RV.

Well our trip back had already started good when we had just gotten into Arizona and blew a tire on the trailer lol! We went ahead and fixed it but then got to Phoenix and replaced all 4 with new tires since Michael said the tires were all pretty old lol! Were about 60 miles from Tucson now

Watched the TG video earlier. Seen a bunch of wrecks and rollovers thru the years of this sport and racing sports cars, and this one makes me cringe. Glad they are both expected to make a recovery. Messer even said he probably wouldnt be alive without his Hans device. Hopefully it's a testament to other racers that just a neck roll won't cut it in this sport much longer as we continue to push the limits of technology and these race rigs.

Well our luck ran out. Just blew a tire in Arkansas. Made a bunch of phone calls and found a local guy to come help us and we now have 2 new front tires and the extra good one is now a spare. If everything else goes well we hope to be home early tomorrow AM
