I feel like I let a bunch of people down. lol
I broke on your turn on the last bypass. It was dumb.
I feel like I should swap a cheap 44 in and rock out.:confused:

How’s that cheap? Just regear to 4.10s or something like that and give it a few more goes.
Find me a cheap set of 4.10’s front and rear and I’ll do it.
If not I’ll find a cheap 44 already geared 4.88.
What sucks is I still have a 79 Ford 60 front in the shop with chromos and 4.88’s… but then my lightweight with 35’s is pointless.

Just regear the 30, parts are stupid cheap for d30's.

This. Those gears were setup by a person I think a lot of, but he did not have the proper tools or know how to do them. It was a like “throw some paint at it, doesn’t feel too loose, it’s good to go” and then I wound up with those axles and threw them in and severely abused them for years.

A good properly setup gear set will last pretty good.

As long as I wheeled my tj with 4.88s and heavy 36s I only ever broke axle shafts. Old Togie was pretty good at setting gears I guess.

@Van-go Has the XJ been put back together for another round of abuse yet?
Why you gotta call me out like that? lol
I’ve been working on the buggy in my spare time so it’s just sitting. Broke.

I am trying to plan a quick trip to Harlan with @hurt4x4 though. Maybe leave on a Friday or Saturday morning early and come back late the next night. Just a 1 night trip.

I'll be at Harlan Thursday Friday sat and leaving Sunday this week, bring that out!

Absolutely nothing could go wrong. Go for it.
You called it. lol
Last night was one of the best nights I’ve had in Harlan.
Thanks for the support and for not talking me out of it.

So what lift has been done to get the tires to fit? Also pics of your cage tie-ins?
Not really sure TBH
I do know it has a long arm radius arm kit up front.
Front has a lift spring on one side. Maybe like a 4.5in?
Double stacked spacers on the other with a shorter spring.
Rear looks like an add a leaf or a small lift pack.
Fenders are trimmed.

Cage was dropped through floor to weld to rock sliders. Don’t really have any pictures.
Maybe if you zoom into this?

Drove up it a couple more times. Coming down is the hard part now 🤣

Did you all see that there was a bad roll on Cream Puff and that people were hurt pretty bad? I think it was a sxs that rolled 9 times or something like that.
