Daniel ?

The fs map handed out am I wrong ( I can't find a copy)
Trails are rated from easy to moderate to difficult.
I have one in the excurison i will check when i get home....
Who wants to come up with a sign for us to get approved for the cotton place parking lot?

Maybe something like winches and lockers recomended??? Could possibly get tread light to help with this. Include that info like 3 tries and winch.(all corys ideas, i suck at computer skills)

Fyi tread lightly is approved by fs so tagging that on signage may make it easier to get approval(yes i jump through hoops)

my wife is a graphic designer she can do the computer image work for free just let me know what you need and if I can help

Chris. Maybe we can find out who made the new signs like we just put in this year or late last year at Wolf Den and we can get another few made just like it to put at both ends of Daniel. Those signs ( wooden sign holders / whatever they are called ) are already approved and would make it easy with no hard approval from higher needed size / style wise.

The only reason I havnt approached ctb is bc your a member. And you constantly talk down to people.

Wow.

This, not two days after Snappy got up at the ass crack of dawn and spent all day Saturday (and a bunch of his own money) cooking for the work day crews. Chris is hands down one of the nicest, most genuine folks I know.

Just goes to show that there's no pleasing some folks. They'll believe whatever they want to believe.

Shawn i believe that cory got the wrong impression, i reread some of my comments and could see how it would be taken the wrong way. We have chatted and water under the bridge i think atleast. Stay on point here guys.... Good ideas rolling in focus...

Thanks for all the work fellas sorry I'm not around to help out this year.

I plan on being out opening week, (my maiden voyage BTW) as well as some workdays I can make. I am about 3 hours away so it's a bit more than a hop skip and jump. Nonetheless I plan on doing as much as possible to help out. The places to wheel in my area are pretty much non existent, besides some farm land and such that folks I know own.

well it used to be fun and challenging. no point to pay to go ride around on a gravel road.

This attitude right here is half the problem. Your right, man. No point in you coming out. Don't pay $30 for a season pass to ride our gravel roads. Go pay $30-50 each day or weekend to ride somewhere else.

You probably signed up here 20 minutes ago just to make that comment didn't you? Thank you for your input, it was so valuable.

I know everyone is venting / ranting but it is doing us no good here. It is not helping to keep the trail open at all. i am all for a good bitch session but then after that we need to work together to come to a better place.

We all bitched, moaned, and groaned, and whined about this, now can we go forward and get to a better place ?

Ok PLEASE can we move on? This was done 3 years ago and will be done periodically again and again. The guys with big rigs have openly admited they idled up it. The guys with smaller rigs yes it was a challenge. If a 10ft and 100ft section of trail makes or breaks the whole place, well I guess all is lost. I cannot believe that anyone has realized, or stated the real fun area is above all this in the rock section! The ledges will be back by the end of the year imo. This was done to keep the whole trail open rather to close totally down.......

Thanks for doing the work and keeping it open. I have been to work days and will be back. Life has gotten busy lately and not given me the time to come up like I had planned. I really appreciate everyone that comes out and helps to keep this place open. I have fun every time I go! Even on 42's! Do I wish Kodak was there? Yes. Do I wish Daniel was kept difficult? Well it is. Unless they changed the hill above these ledges I still see a fun strip of trail there! So once again THANKS!

We are not touching the fun part. Least as long as i can help it. And Kodak will open back up one day. Might take us some time and we might have to pitch in some work but i forsee it opening in the next couple of years.

So your saying this was only done to the ledge? I was under the impression the hill climb/rock section was done too. If it wasn't you better start planning, or it will eventually go the route as Kodak.. I would not like to see that happen...

Just the 2 ledges! Jeff we are being proactive to keep the rock play ground open with the fs..... If we keep the water issue at bay(right now there are none) and keep people on trail and not widening it more it is pretty safe(not on the issue list)

Well there is no point in going to ure anymore. Might as well sell the rig cause I can ride a dirt road at the house no need to drive an hour and a half to pay to drive a dirt road. Only trails worth trying were kodak and Daniel but now that's a nonissue

We'll need to keep an eye on that left-hand side throughout the year to make sure that it stays passable by quads and such.

Are the trial difficulty ratings mentioned earlier the ones on the map that Don created and Eli updated? Who came up with those?
