Maybe lol good thing I have family in the tire business haha

My man main Joe dood it.I took pictures from the back as he was going up.No straps and NO rock stacking was involved.

i like those pics lol

What about that Lexus that went up. Did it do the whole thing or what was up with them pics?

04-07 I had a 95 YJ on 32's 2.5" rancho leaves and revolvers(go ahead and talk your shit but i didn't get any axle wrap from a 4 cyl and the rancho leaves) It was a great set up that allowed for a ton of flex out of what it was. I could do Daniel wet or dry rather easily. Slid my way down it allot to work up the nerve but when i did it I much rather go up it. Had a winch just in case I ever got in over my head but never once pulled it on the daniel. I could roll right up the ledge and I'd zig-zag my way up the right side of the hill as Id prefer to work my jeep up it than just throttle down that bypass hill that was right on the edge. I think allot of ppl. just forget its called rockCRAWLING for a reason. not to say don't use the throttle but use all your pedals and your brain. would I call it extremely difficult, no but I can understand the rating there though as it is the hardest at URE.

I voted for leave it alone and think volunteers and FS personel should find new/or other existing areas to make more difficult. maybe the reopening of old trails could be a promising place to start. After that happens then maybe consider re rating it. I'm glad to see all the work that's being done and would like to thank all of the volunteers and hopefully my fullsize will be done soon and I'll be on the trails again.

This is a little OT but I figured I would post it for those that might have missed it:

We made this little tree blockade during the last work day to block the CLOSED Forest Service road that goes right at the Z-Turn. If your feeling up to it, yell at any Dirt Bike/ATVers you see trying to go around it/bust it up/go through it.

Why are you so hopped up on confrontation? YOU know the forrest service doesn't want us confronting people they want us to gather evidence, and turn it in so that the "LAW ENFORCEMENT" officials can do their jobs properly.

I am not hopped up on confrontation. Its not a confrontation if you kindly let someone know that is a blocked off Forest Service Road. And if you don't feel like saying anything don't.

maybe I don't understand what you mean by "...yell at any Dirt Bike/ATVers you see... "?
let me explain where I'm coming from... if you yell at me or a lot of people I know on the trail you are liable to piss me/them off, and start a confrontation... I'm just trying to keep someone from getting hurt. I don't know if you know it or not, but there are some mean nasty people out there that don't give a crap about you, me, the trails, trees, or anything else out there. I've seen people get beat down for trying to be what i call a "Dudley Doright" by sticking there noses in other people's business. That is my opinion from experience out there for the last 20+ years.
There's nothing wrong with doing the right thing for the preservation of the recreation in the forest . hell I've wanted to snatch some of the little bastards off their OHV's and beat the crap out of them for tearing down the split rail fence a week after it was installed. we just gotta do it the right way. I haven't been to an official work day,(I plan on attending the next one) but I do support the cause by picking up litter when I'm out there.
it is not my intention to discourage you in any way shape or form. I think you are putting forth great effort for our cause.

I will be the first to say I don't try to get into confrontations. If I see someone on the trails littering, throwing beer cans into the forest etc I am not going to run up to them and give them a lecture on littering. I will make a mental note of a license plate if possible, plus make/model and color of the vehicle and let it go.

But if I was on Daniel and came up to that part of the trail with the blockade and saw an ATV/Dirtbiker etc trying to get around it, or drive over/through it I would simply say, "Hey, you know thats a closed forest service road?". Maybe yell was the wrong term to use, sorry about that.

Because I have heard so many times from some of the ATV guys the same thing: "If someone had just said something, or let me know I wouldn't have gone that way" etc. Because they simply didn't know. Or maybe that was just their excuse I don't know.

Hope this clarifies what I was saying.

I understand what you are saying, but from my experence with most ATV riders it's just an excuse to avoid rocks, and denting their junk. all they want are smooth fast trails

Continued from the Falls Dam thread...

Now that Falls Dam has become a very easy trail to meet the needs of inexperienced drivers in stock rigs, will Daniel now actually become a very difficult trail for experienced drivers in modified rigs?
