East Coast Offroad Race League

thats to keep it simple. we thought it was a good average for all classes.

Just concerned it will squeeze out the offhand random weekend warrior guy that wants to throw in his hand for the hell of it for a fun weekend in $500 vehicle.

Starting to look like I'm going to have to invest in a tow vehicle... or at least a real plan for getting home.

Hell our plan is to have the $500 vehicle guy win mor ethan his vehicle is worth !!!!

Guys please dont hesitate to post comments or critiques we want, even need them!

Here's my suggestion.

On the website, you should add a link to "justifications to wives". E.g., a list of ways potential members can, er, explaian or bargain with their SOs about how important itis they do this and why it is good for them....
"Honey, you have family in Boone, and it's a beautiful area. Lets take a trip to teh mountains... Oh yeah, lets bring the Jeep too..."
"Honey, I know how much youhate my Jeep. Wouldn't it make you feel good to see it get destroyed?"

Hmm, Em might bring some of her Vera Bradley to sell too, could turn into a "Purse swap meet!?!?" I know she is planning on coming, along with some friends of ours, Geoff and Krista are coming too.

Since the racing will all be on Sat, plenty of time for the couples to hit the local shopping before, after or even during race day!!

Sam

Honey, Mountain City has one of the largest outlet malls in the Southeast!

I'm guessing he meant Boone, yes they do have a coach outlet, just ask my wife

I know tehre's also a huge outlet strip towards Blowing Rock, Shoppes on the Parkway (mmm... love the ice cream a fudge there) - but that's teh otehr direction.

Back on topic - what's the plan to for payouts? No mention on the site. Just trophies? Personally I'm ok with that. However if the plan is for staggered $$ according to class, e.g. C class pays more, the flat reg fee may piss off the anti-communists...

Plans are to be a 100% payout mixed between cash and prizes. More details on the payouts should be up soon. Give us some time to get everything updated and posted as we don't want to post something incorrect and then not fulfill what was promised.

Right now all 3 classes will pay 3 places (assuming a full field) and each place will get trophies, cash and prizes.

The web site will be updated with full details soon.

Bummer, I won't be able to attend, I work that weekend!

Note to organizers. Make the rules as best you can. you won't be able to please everyone!
