EDC what's yours and why?

I like that one, I am a little confused by how the strap works though, but it might just be a dumb moment for me.
It's snapped close right now, but obviously the holstereo is inside the pants and the strap goes under and around your belt.

My wife always loves it when I mention right-handed and wrong-handed shooters. She's a lefty too.

I don't own a firearm but if I did it would be the Tri-star T-100.
15+1
50 yd accuracy
copy of the CZ/baby eagle platform
takes CZ grips
Small enough for EDC
Cheap at 330.00

At least we are in our right mind?

So true! If I married a lefty-commie, I'd...well, I wouldn't even have to worry about it because I never would have married her anyway! :smokin:

I know I just picked up a benchmade edc but it’s not my style to small and non useful for myself for what I use a knife for On daily basis. So in good fashion I went back to CRKT I’ve carried them since Boy Scouts and have had my M60 softb fixed blade since 96, two M16-14 and now this badass mother... meet the Homefront!

Well since I started this thread trying to find a compact edc pistol here is my edc daily setup now and probably all that’ll be done to this shield45! I have the alien gear shape shifter aiwb holster, alien gear backpack strap shape shift clip, XS big dot sights.
Considering a trigger but I’m kinda in love with the 2.0 trigger pull especially on the new m&p 2.0 9mm fde 5”... This is the smallest pistol I’ve owned and I’m still not that accurate with it over 15 yards or so I have to grip over trigger guard with left index finger so it’s been a challenge! I’m looking into the XS standard big dot sight if my accuracy doesn’t improve with this big dot soon!

I shot a friend's Sig P365 (9mm) a few weeks ago. I loved it. Excellent shooting handgun to be so compact. It has the "new" semi-single/semi-double stack mag. Still very narrow and compact to be 10+1. A nice clean trigger too. If I could fork over the beans for one right now, I would (retail is around $5-550 depending where you shop). I think they all come with factory night sights as well.

This maybe my next purchase, i think they have worked out the early problems. Also they have an extended 12 round mag.

I used to carry a G19 during the Fall and Winter and the switch over to the G43 for spring and summer, but now I carry the G43 exclusively. With being able to carry a +2 mag with a total of 9 rounds. I feel comfortable carrying my G43 year round and is a lot easier for me to conceal and a lot more comfortable as well.
I have even thought about carrying a G42 for its even smaller size. A lot of people get caught up in the caliber debate, but I believe its all about shot placement and recoil management.

I really like the g43 but the grip angle and size is not for me I held so many compacts to see which was best for me and shield won em all over I do like the sig365 a lot tho xds Came in close second.. I’m pretty sure my next purchase def is the m&p 2.0 fde or the m&p15 sport haven’t decided! Can’t buy anything for awhile tho unfortunately! May sell some stuff to pay of vet and get the m&p nex year tho!

My first carry gun was the shield. I only had two complaints. It felt unbalanced to me and it wasn't a Glock. At the time, I owned my G19 and shot it well. when I was in the market for a smaller, compact gun, the G43 didn't exist, hell, the G42 didn't even exist, so the shield won that fight over the Xds. I would carry my G19 and shoot with it and then switch over to the shield and shot it like poopy. I'd get used to the Shield and then it was time to switch back to the G19, and Id shoot it like poopy. The triggers are so different.
I am very fond of the M&P line of pistols and I love the way they feel in the hand, my only complaint is that trigger and the fact that I shoot Glocks well and would have to change out the trigger on any M&P I owned. At some point, I do plan on investing in an M&P 9.

I’ve never shot a glock besides the 19 and I admit I do love the g19 if I didn’t go with the new 2.0 fde the g19 would be my next pick in 9mm flavor. I’ve found with friends especially military friends that peeling a glock out of a glock owners hand isn’t a easy task lol I have so many buddies that carried glock overseas and will not for life or them switch or try another brand for simple fact that they know their glock always will work and it’s the LEGO of pistols!!

Yeah, it isn't the prettiest gun out there, but it works. I am not one of these Glock fan boys who think Glock can do no wrong and won't give credit when credit is due to other companies. I am all about shooting/carrying what feels/works best for you.

This for sure

SAME. I've owned nearly every brand. I keep coming back to Glock. That Gen 4 with finger grooves and multiple options for backstraps/beaver tails is just the tits (I've got large(ish) hands)

Recoil management (for me) is key. G19 gen4 with the largest backstrap is the closest thing to perfection in my hand. Well balanced, feels great, and best followup shot groupings. Second best is my G26 gen 4 with +2 grip extension mag, and largest backstrap. I USE to daily carry the G19 but once I felt comfortable enough at the range with the G26, that's all I ever carry (G17 stays in the briefcase though)
I've owned a PF-9, LC-9, P-11 & CM-9 in an attempt to carry something that printed less and allowed me to ankle or pocket carry, but I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a second shot with those. Just too damn small and violent. If I'm gong to carry, I can't willy nilly half-ass it. It has to be something I'm familiar with, that I can shoot WELL. If I can't punch holes in a quarter when I'm calm and taking my time...I sure can't hit center mass in a panic situation.

This for sure

Amen.

I always chuckle when I hear guys talk about .45 being the only caliber they shoot because of the "Knock down power" and then they end up buying a gun with a 3.3" barrel chambered in 45 and wonder why the damn thing tends to jump out of their hand while shooting and follow up shots are horrible. If you can shoot a sub 3.5" barrel in .45 and have great follow up shots, then more power to you.

Yeah these smaller frame pistols are tough to shoot accurate I’ve ran maybe 500 rounds through my shield.45 and still can’t get tight grouping even at 15 yards! But my niece on other hand had a 2” 3 shot group with the .45 @15yrds like she was made for the damn gun, I can’t upload video but I got her making the third shot dead center other two were touching each other in the red I was impressed and she’s a lefty lol what I’ve found with all pistols is like y’all mention it’s what fits and feels best to you! I’ve always carried full frame 1911 owned a Taurus 9mm I got for dirt cheap like $75 and took it out once and hated it not sure why I think it was bc I am a .45 fanboy lol I’m sure if I bought a glock I’d be one of those can’t do wrong bc I know the guns perform, that’s proven and the g19 I know for damn fact can really reach out and touch someone accurately after enough trigger time!

I just got ya to chuckle a lil I bet lmfao I will eventually be accurate on follow ups damnit... lol

G19, stock internals, trijicons, grip chopped to G26, cheapo leather iwb holster. I now carry with a flat base-plate and keep the pinky extension mag as a spare.

I shot a mag from a G30(?) at the range and gave it back to the girl toting it... obviously she was more man than I! :D
