EDC what's yours and why?

So far this bad boy has been my favorite edc. It's hard to beat 45 caliber with 9+1 rounds.

Except a 45 that holds 10+1 :D

I usually carry a ParaOrdnance P10. I've got one in black and one in stainless.

If you ever decide you don't want both...well, you know how to get ahold of me!

I like both of those especially the brown leather!! Those are the comp-tac?
Yup. Brown is the minotaur that you can no longer get. Still works like a charm, even if looks ragged

Flame suit is on. Along with fireproof underwear, so flame away.
Bring enough gun is my theory. Carry a weapon that suits your needs and enough ammo to feed it.
Have you ever heard someone pinned down in a battle say,
"I'm glad i left my full size gun at home and brought this little 5 shot Bitch pistol"?
Said no one ever...
If you are going to carry a gun, carry a damn good one along with spare ammo.

Truer story as ever. Unfortunately these days, if you don’t live in the right location then printing is a very dangerous thing, especially if the area is known for hotshot gestapo cops.

Please explain Sir?
About your legal right to carry?

Preach on brother.
My thoughts exactly on a EDC.

Most brands these days seem to have a bunch of fan boys that talk them up and have as many that think they suck. Go to a range that rents pistols and test run them as they all have different geometry and feel to them. An EDC IMO should be a pistol that you are very familiar with and can use efficiently without thinking. When the shit gets real you don’t want to be fumbling around trying to figure out which end of the pistol to use.

Or

13 + 1

I can put a P14 mag in it, but then it's a little harder to hide! It'd have 14+1 though...and probably weigh 10 lbs

I've always told myself that many people that carry usually don't have the balls to squeeze the trigger.

That's a very foolish and potentially fatal thing to believe. But I'm glad you're getting heeled now.

A right to legally carry is great and all. But if you live in a crap area with a crap DA and crap cops with hostile attitudes towards the right to self defense, tread carefully. Or better yet, vote them out or move.

No matter how slam dunk a case may be, it can cost you your job, thousands of dollars in attorneys fees, your reputation, and even your family if you are taken to court and have to defend your actions while your name is dragged through the streets by any biased media out there.

So @Paul I have to ask, what happens when you run out of ammo despite the spare you’re carrying or 2 spares, or 5. The situation is never perfect. It’s never scripted and it never happens when you expect. I have been in a situation carrying 400+ 5.56 and well more than a ubl of 9mm sidearm and almost to where we were damn near in a black situation after a 13 hour exchange that was supposed to be a there and back 1 hour gig. So then what? The amount of ammo carried or not carried is not such a relevant point as having the firearm with you and being able to use it effectively to stop a situation from escalating. Thinking you need to carry X amount of ammo gets to a point of ridiculousness as most encounters don’t turn into a fire fight unless you make it one by being ineffective with your initial approach to an engagement. But hey me and my 5 shot bitch pistol will probably get shot and killed so take it all with a grain of salt.

You make some very valid points. But most of my posts online are pure sarcasm. The bitch pistol reference is about a friend of mine.
He thinks that because he bought the latest, greatest pistol he should blow the x ring out of a target.
Since he never trains, the results suck, it's the guns fault and he sells it. Again.
I've carried the same edc since 1997 and it's become all muscle memory to me. But i am the guy who would carry a .50 BMG if i could conceal it.
In closing, i'm a peacetime vet from Ronnie Raygun's 1st term. (i'm an old fucker) I'm damn sure not going to debate tactics with an active duty combat veteran.
;)

If I read it wrong that’s me being, according to that Cali teacher, the lowest of the low. I ain’t too smart lol. I didn’t mean to get on you about it if that’s the direction your comments were aimed. I should have known better. Either way the biggest point I would make is know when to employ and most importantly understand that there are times to keep it holstered. Being a single shooter in what could very well be a multi assailant scenario can be resolved but knowing when to involve yourself to maintain the leading edge in the conflict will pay dividends. This is directly related to round count, and most importantly your proficiency with the gun and the ability to make shots that are the most affective (kill shots). But anywho I’m having coffee and on my way to work. God bless y’all, God bless America, and God bless ALL veterans.

This is why I love my taurus. 12+1 in a very compact package. I can easily carry 25 rounds + the 6 in my BUG. If I need more than that, I should have either A) gotten the he!! out of dodge sooner, or B) been a better shot. Short of SHTH I cant see needing more than 30 shots in any civilian situation. My main goal is get me and mine home safe, secondary is to prevent any victim crime that I reasonably can. Anything more is left to the pros. I have no desire to be in a shootout as you dont ever win, the best outcome is to survive.

Agreed. Reading my post back, I chose the wrong verbiage - I should have said "I previously belived..." I've been to some much sandier scenes where rounds from the other guys were believed to be guided by allah or some other sumbitch. That's why they use the spray and pray method, not so often well-placed shots. I'll admit that after surviving some shit, I had that "not-quite-six-feet-tall, almost-bullet-resistant" thing going on. I was smarter than to think 10 feet tall and bulletproof...lol. But yes - learning has occurred...people are stupid and crazy, and probably high half the time. I don't second guess people's intentions these days.

Trying a new set up. My old alien gear holster that I bought was just too large and uncomfortable which is why I've never worn it out of the house so I was anti IWB for awhile then I came across this skeleton holster from snake hound machine and thought I would try it. It is so small it's almost like having only the gun tucked in your pants and nothing else. I'm liking it so far.

I like that one, I am a little confused by how the strap works though, but it might just be a dumb moment for me.
