FB MP finds of the day.

That now belongs to @Blue CJ 's dad. Bluecj and I bought the lil red express. Along with a couple trailer loads of parts. We spent hours in Ralph's shop talking to him. Really cool old guy. Bluecjs dad also has his 93 2500 cummins. The pie wagon is back running and stored inside. If anyone wants contact info lmk

Iirc Ralph told us it took them 1972 and 73 to build it.

Duane

Built by Ralph Haner and a buddy back in the day, in Florida. If I remember right, the vin number was a combination of their birthdays. Ralph had a Little Red Express that someone posted on here a few years ago. He was a Navy man, welder and fabricator extraordinaire. Rest in peace, Ralph.

When I first saw it I was like meh. Knowing this history makes it much more desirable in my book. Knowing it was built in the 70's and is still around is pretty impressive.

So was I but people don't seem so impressed.

Damn, I really miss Ralph. Many days spent in his shop drinking High Life. Hell of a fabricator and friend. If I had the money to burn, I'd buy that for the memories. For the ad, it wasn't bought from his widow. Shirley died before Ralph.

It looks like his first gen cummins in the background of the pics too.

I agree it was bought from her daughter and SIL. Yes Harry bought the cummins as well. Had it been 4x4 I would have bought it. It was unbelievable how much high life collectibles he had. Beer "stuff" everywhere.

Also agree the pie wagon isn't my style but the story and meeting that man is something I'll never forget.

When my dad bought the Pie Wagon it had been sitting for several years. Fuel system needed cleaning from tank to carb. Some freeze plugs were rusted through and leaking ( the ones on the back of the block ). He went through the brake system. Some of interior needed repair. Ralph had some of the wiring disconnected. Now everything is in good working order.

Ralph had at least one 55 gallon drum full of Miller High Life bottle caps. Most everything he had was Mopar, but he did have a few Chevy small blocks.

I guess I don't know...?
Years ago (10 plus) there was a guy on here who was looking for free rocks to build an offroad park out of.IIRC typical forum shenanigans ensued and dude took his ball and went home .Thats a very lose recollection but you get the ideal.Somebody (@RatLabGuy maybe ??) remembered who it was but I forgot what their user name was.

thats like.... not even half of them.
Searching his name brings up a lot of old entertainment. and there was more in the pre-05 board crash era IIRC.

Reading back through some of that was a great reminder of how wild this place used to be

Everybody that's still around has gotten old and mellowed.
