Got screwed by a diesel shop

I picked up cause i was goin on vacation and it was promised to me im not dealing with it ill juat fix it my self at least ill know its not butchered all to hell

Then you have no right to complain about it.

He has tried to make it right, you are the stubborn one. Your loss.

The Jesse Jackson / Southpark call out was perfect.

Apoligize!!

Everything else aside, what's the deal with jamming a power wire under a battery terminal? That alone makes me think of a lot of hack shops' work I've seen in the past. Did the fass also get welded to the framerail... ?

No right are you kidding i paid for a job to be done in a timely fashion and it wasnt now its on you i disnt know you needed 3 weeks to tune it. The only reason it would take tunes was that battery connection. If you wanna make it right come get it or ill fix myself correctly and you can deal with everyone knowing how you screwed my truck up bottom line

I went to get my hair cut once. I was told it'd be 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes I got out of that damn chair and left. That barber had only cut half my hair! Worst haircut I've ever received. I told him he needed to come to my house and finish my hair cut. Bastard to me no. I'm never going back and ya'll shouldn't either!!!

Braxton no but its leaking fuel from the top of the tank so now the bed has to come off again. I personally would leak test it before putting the bed on but what do i know im just the customer that gave this guy a bunch of money for nothing

13 you obviously dont know how the auto business works. A promised day it would be done is exactly that i gave this guy 5 extra days and obviously goin to the beach was more important than his customers. Then its my responsibility to take time to bring it back to his shop.

here is a pic of LDPs high quality work

Dirtymax its simple as this if you take it back it will get fixed, but he's not gonna pick it up for you. When you want to return something to wal-mart does the cashier come to your house and pick it up for you?

If u let walmart does your oil chance and the leave your drain plug loose and it blows up you bet your ass there paying for the tow

Yes! Exactly 2 grand. It came with hookers and blow. Lots of hookers and blow.

Whos your barber? I apparently need a new one.

I'm not taking either side but just want to say if I bitched and whined everytime a deal didn't go right or someone I hired to do a job didn't do it right the damn internet would blow up. But I am hard to please that's why I do almost everything myself no matter how hard it is but lately I've had no time to get any extras done so they get hired out. Except for my YJ build. It will just set in the garage and rot till I have time to work on it.

My thing in the whole situation is who in the hell drives their truck 2hrs. one way to get it worked on knowing there is a good possibility it may need to be tuned a couple times. This mechanic must be the God of all mechanics to do that.

Also at $60 per hour that would be 33.34 hours of labor. Now I've never done injectors and that other stuff but that seems a long time to do that. Sounds like OP has more money than sense.

I went 2 hours away cause i got a very good recommendation
And i shoulda known better than to have anyone work on my truck but i had alot goin on so i took to who i got the best recommendation to. And his tuning guy could just send me tunes to get it right i can load it myself now that battery is right and the pcm is getting correct batt voltage so it would take the tunes. Live and learn if you want something done right you do it yourself.

Hey stuntman if you discovered a ton of butchered things would u want the same person to work on it?
No but your not bitchin that you don't want him to work on it, your bitchin cause your ass is too lazy to take it back to him when you picked it up not finished. Yes wal-mart would probably be paying for the tow, but thats a huge multi billion dollar company, not a lil part time shop that is still starting up. If he had ruined your truck he would find a way to make it right, but he hasn't ruined it it still runs and drives. Dirtymax you need to get your thong out your ass cause its put you in a bitchin mode that nobody likes.

Couple of things apparently I need a new barber, dirtymax66 stop crying and either take your truck back to get it finished or stop crying and fix it yourself, and yes I would definitely call Wal-Mart and have them come pick up whatever it was I wanted to return.

Whatever happened to real men? You know, the ones that would meet you face to face and say "I've got a problem. Let's step over here and discuss it." And then those two would either work it out or kick the living snot outta one another and then work it out. The internet makes eveyone look 10 feet tall.....

Thanks guys, im trying to make it right, i dont like any unsatisfied customers. Just the way it goes.
i think u have went above and beyond,we dont warranty nothin but our workmanship if the customer supplys his own parts,if it works great if it dont u still pay me sorry about your luck,it sounds crude but we are in business to sell parts and labor, carring ur own parts to a shop is like trying to get burger king to cook ur own hamburger meat, they'd tell u to get lost.

I'd rather look 10ft ....long....

Not taking a side here, and not knowing the shops reputation, but how many of us here would go to shop, get your rig back that wasn't right and would actually feel comfortable bringing it back? Before I started doing all my own work on my rigs, any time I had to bring a rig back, the first impression was always the right impression. And how many of us here would make a set agreement for work to be done in a certain time frame and not expect it to get done (with a little wiggle room). I've used sponsors and vendors on this site because they come with glowing reviews, regardless of how glowing though, if I didn't feel they performed a satisfactory job, I'm not inclined to go back for another go round. I'm not saying accidents and life don't happen...but c'mon, realistically how many of us would return a vehicle for more work after we feel it's already been hacked on, there's already tension and it would take half a day to drop off the rig plus another half day to go get it and arrange a for a second vehicle. Dunno about you guys, but that last little detail would play as big of a role for me as anything...you're probably looking at $100 in gas for the trip and if it has to be done during business hours and I have to be away from work, chances are I charge more an hour than the shop.

no way i would take it back!!! It would be like asking a rape victim to come back over for a few drinks!!!

LDP may have good intentions but it wont be good for either of them so just drop it both ways!!!
