Got the short course racing itch?...

Just start building. Or give me a call and I'll come help build. We'll race them there one way or another if you'll have us.
Pm me your number. I would like to discuss it some more. Thanks

Is there any way at the flats to get a second path down the hill that a 2wd truck could navigate? I'm thinking it would be awesome to run a big loop top and bottom, including running the road on the uphill side.

Just something to think about.

Yeah, I think it's either or. Not sure how I feel about running a 7.5 long term... Ratio selection looks better with 8.8, too.

I can get a big Dozer and we could make it happen. Might take some extra funds to get there but maybe not. I will take a look over the next few weeks.

@MarsFab Add 1 more to your build total. I am in.
Call me Monday and lets chat...

I've already got 3 or 4 guys planning to bring me these trucks to build. I'm gonna lay out a simple package deal on all the fab work to make one race ready out the door minus shocks. Like if you buy the truck for a grand I'll build it and keep it under the 5k mark. What size fuel cell do you guys wanna run?

How much if we bring you one gutted and stripped? :D

damn this sounds really great!! i dont need another vehicle to spend on but, if this really pans out i would sell some junk!! i like the rules, hopefully keep the big money in other classes/organizations.

I'm working on it. Give me another day or two.

I'm thinking I'll do all the tube work and mounts for an included 10 gal bladder cell, rear shock mounts, 1 suspension seat, 1 5pt harness. Hopefully it will also include fuel pump and whatever lines are required. Basically you'll pick it up from my shop and need to paint, install your tires, wheels and shocks. I'd like to keep it around 3500 but we'll see. Gotta get with some vendors.

need to get Dave to do the custom "brolite white" driveshafts!!

why due the rules specify a white driveshaft anyway?

Anybody got a one of these trucks yet and can take a few measurements for me in the next day or two?

Figure out if a six footer can fit in a regular cab with a suspension seat. A lot of the Lucas cars look like the headrest is sticking out of the back window. Extra cabs are spacious, but harder to find and probably a good bit heavier.

Is there any specs on this class yet? Stuff like weight, displacement, basic construction, safety needs to be established before construction would begin or the class will be doomed from the start. (I could cheat the hell out of a class like this. Im sure most other racers could to! LOL!) There needs to be a basic formula for these to be built to. That would also make a claimer rule realistic. (This worked extremely well for stuff like IMCA modifieds) As Chris stated. If one can be built safe and competetive for 4000-5000 total investment. Then a claimer would keep a cap on the building expense.

It will be very tight I'm sure. My s-10 was very tight as a std cab for me and I'm slightly less than 6 ft. I'm sure it can be done but seat placement and whether you run a stock dash will be very critical. It could potentially add a lot of extra work to how the seat mounts are done also.
