Ham Operators, Check In

Contact Tony Jones, N4ATJ (N4ATJ@twc.com) In a month or 2.
May of next year would be better, but at least wait and give him time to finish up things for the current 13 Colonies Event.
NC won it last year as far and numbers go and I have a nice plaque for it.

Thanks. Seems like itd be a good time.

Got it going. Built a cable for the signalink. Took some trial and error, but that's all part of the fun.

New "fence post vertical" im building. Saw an OM woth one at FD and had to build one. Old post, bad drop cord, and a coat hanger. LDG made light work of it.

Would any of yall be interested in having a field day while helping at a charity gravel bike ride I'm putting on? Wilson's Creek/Mortimer/Collettsville area on 10/8.

I need some folks to help at my water/food/aid stations that morning and it would be awesome for it to be Ham operators so we'd have good comms throughout the course.

Well the "POTA post" was a success. England, Hungary, and Ecuador yesterday afternoon as well as several other good contacts.

Also grabbed a shack heater for a great deal. It has a Collins installed MARS mod and is in great shape. Could use freshening up though. Now I have to track down a matching transmitter......

Awesome! I used hamstudy.com for all three of mine, and passed them easily. Let me know if there is any way I can help ya.

Thanks!
I bought a study prep on hamradioprep

Any time. I plan to bring some radio gear to the get together, as URE is a National forest, and I can activate it for Parks On The Air. Youre welcome to join!

Quick video from saturday. Yes, my stupid self shot it in portrait.

Added some variety to the logbook today during CQWW SSB contest. 20m was wide open to Europe and Africa, and South America was booming in on 15m.
