If you could only vote for one or the other, who would it be?

  • Hillary Clinton

  • Gary Johnson

Results are only viewable after voting.
1st rule of running for office...never be photographed while eating
2nd rule...never be photographed with something on your head

Case in point:

A devout Christian believes the bible cover to cover. A devout muslim believes the koran from cover to cover. It say to kills us...

Im assuming you have read the Qu'ran to make such a statement, right?
Oh and which Bible did you read cover to cover?
FYI if its the King James Version you still have a few books to go.

Question everything.

I'm a devout Christian and I far from believe the Bible cover to cover. I would bet it is the same for Muslims and the Quran.

The issue is that the Quran does say to kill all Christians, and that is reflected in ancient Persian life through their art, temples, hell even their gardens and houses. The normal Muslims have since disavowed this, but there are still some radical ones who embrace it as verbatim.

But back to the subject - I am voting for Gary Johnson.

Gary Johnson FTW.

Non-scientific experiment, copied from facebook, but the links are good:
"Here's a social experiment for ya, go to the Donald J. Trump Facebook page and see how many of your friends have "liked" his page. Then go to Hillary Clinton's Facebook page and see how many of your friends have liked her page and post the results below. Chances are if she wins it'll be because of voter fraud."

20 Trump
10 Clinton

But this is not a fair sample size. I am more right leaning so more of friends tend to be right leaning. I'd bet the same goes for the majority of the people on this board. Go to a Prius forum and it'll be polar opposite.

Definitely true. I'm a Johnson fan, but I don't "like" pages, further adding to the unscienticity. I like your addendum, so here's mine:
20 Trump
10 Clinton
9 Johnson

Ron-I know it says to kill non believer's/infidels. As far as which bible and which extra books I may or may not have read...Is it out of malice or kinship that you hop to educate me.

Blaze- All I can say to that is re-read your own statement. " I'm a devout Christian and I far from believe the Bible from cover to cover" It's either the truth or not...pick one

Nope, wrong. Leviticus proves my statement. If you follow that word for word than you are not following the teachings of Jesus. There are many old vs new testament conflicts in the Bible. Plus over the years many people have touched the Bible and translated them in ways that they saw fit. Unless you can read ancient Sanskrit or Hebrew or whatever, everything has already been interpreted for you.

60-trump
1-Hillary
10-Johnson
I'm 28 most my friends are around that age, a lot of them I served with and to be honest I just heard of Gary Johnson yesterday. He's honestly my choice

Gary Johnson

Can we updated the poll in this thread?

You "know".
How?

My question was one of inquisition not one of education. My response would have been tailored based on your answer.
My larger point was that you only know what you have read. And people of another faith only know what thy have read. If you have read the wrong thing and you take it as 100% fact, well where does that put you on a journey for spiritual enlightenment.

Same question for them?

It just gets very dangerous when people start to "know" what they were told by people they "assume" to be experts.

The current vacancy situation with the Supreme Court Justices, coupled with the age of the remaining Justices is one of the most concerning things to look at IMO. Average age of retirement is around 78 for these people. We have 2 over this number and one a month away from turning 78. IF the trend continued to be the same, we could witness the next President have to appoint 4 Justices during their term and most likely it being a given if the next President was to get elected for a second term. With Scalia's seat empty, we have a 4/4 split between the parties within the seats of the Supreme Court Justices. The long term effects of who our next President may appoint will have effects lingering long after this next President is out of office.

The concerning factor on this election for me, regardless of who my friends support, is that I see too many living in the "Now" and what can this next President do for me "now", versus looking at what the now could do to their future. But that is unfortunately the world we live in where everyone wants results now versus looking at a bigger picture and looking 2-3 steps ahead.

That said, Trump is a trainwreck. Who the hell knows what he will actually do in office. Hillary is nuts and we know she will go after the second amendment as well as other rights. Gary Johnson SOUNDS good, but against the other two and in the strength of opposition, IMO the third party doesn't stand a snowballs chance in hell unless the Republicans that do not support Trump get behind him and make a major push.

I think the power of social media can help a lot with Gary Johnson's campaign

As good as he might sound, why not vote for someone that actually has a chance to win? I doubt he will even have enough support to make it to the debates.

Again social media and just helping him out by sharing stuff. You've seen how things go "viral"

Jumping on the viral bandwagon is great for your buddy that posts a video to FB of him burning his ass with a bottle rocket doing stupid drunk shit July 4. It's not really something to play around with when voting for someone that won't likely ever have enough support to make it to the debates....
