Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?

If you could only vote for one or the other, who would it be?

  • Hillary Clinton

  • Donald Trump

  • Gary Johnson

Results are only viewable after voting.
Romney didn't have a chance four years ago and McCain didn't have a chance eight years ago. The republicans get about the same number of majority votes as the democrats. It's been that way along time. The deciding factor has been the minority votes. Forget all drama in the primaries. The democrats will win ( and they know it) unless Trump can attract a large amount of minority voters which I would think he is not off to a great start in that respect. However Trump is an unknown politically and has already suprised alot of know it alls.

does the constition also not say "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Yet you have to jump through hoops to attain a gun. Is that not infringing....

Just because I like adding fuel to a fire, maybe that's the "well regulated" part.

:)

I'll just say that I'm not looking at this as a vote "for" any of them - not just now, but generally in any election - as I've rarely found any politician much more than an ego-maniacal, lying, cheating, rich-gettin-richer, asshat. I will tho vote against Hilldippy as early and often as posssible.

[tin hat] My biggest fear is, whichever evil we have elected in the fall not being able to be sworn in come January due to some interference from an outside source unhappy with the outcome of the election, and some kind of executive order allowing the current administration to progress into a 3rd term during this time of confusion. [/tin hat]
I've been saying this for at least 3 years. Mostly as a joke, but most of my jokes usually have a half-truth hidden in them somewhere.

I saw this truck when I was surveying on a construction site today. I know it's hard to read, but the top of window, homemade decal says "LEGALLATINOSFORTRUMP.KMA". He apparently saw me taking a picture of his truck and came up to talk to me. I asked if it was a real site (knowing it was not), and he said "Kiss My Ass", in case you couldn't figure it out. I also asked if I could post it and he said "I don't give a shit!" Super cool, hard working latino with a common sense brain and proud American. Pretty much made my morning.

Any comments on this? I had assumed all US latinos (legal or not) were strongly against Trump because of the plans for the "Great Wall of Mexico". Not gonna put my $.02 in yet, just wondered if others had a similar assumption.

A lot of the Hispanic folks who have come here to stay are essentially just like the original immigrants - they appreciate the opportunity of what we have and integrate well (at least by the next generation in terms of language) as Americans. I've been impressed over the years watching them grow from migrant workers driving beaters to family that are making a good living and driving new rigs that show they're proud of what they've accomplished. In Mexico, every family makes sure to dress their kids in the brightest and cleanest clothes. They want to do a good job and be rewarded - a great work ethic. Not that different from folks in the 50's. Head down to any local Hispanic grocery and you'll find a community that thrives. My opinion, but I suspect they understand what we do - that regardless of ethnic background or skin color or financial status, that the scum who feed off the system shouldn't be welcome here.

If he's a vet, given the sticker, then that just jacks the ante up more.

My Spanish is weak, but I'm inspired to learn more when I encounter good folks from the south.

It helps to know the Constitution; that will avoid needing that hat.
The President is limited to 2 terms via the Constitution, amendment 22.
So there is NO WAY that an executive order can allow Obama to stay in power. He would have to get an amendment. and there isn't enough time for that to happen.

you better read up on martial law and what happens to an election...

it is very possible....

There isn't any reason to believe that a majority of House or Senate members would even seriously object to BHO writing himself in for another term. They really don't give a crap and as long as they can maintain their own revenue streams nothing else matters. Do I think he will do it? No. Would I be shocked if he did it? No.

I think someone might actually "vote from the rooftops" this time.

I figured that would happen when Obama got elected. I'm surprised it never did.

I did vote on here today! But just to be clear....I am a white female and didn't vote for Hillary!! :flipoff2: Hillary!!

^^^i dont hate either of the candidates that much!

she should have done her homework and then voted for Gary Johnson :)
I can't like this enough.

He's definitely getting my vote.

You know what sounds crazy? I have a bunch of coworkers who also are rooting for Johnson.
How's that for irony, and telling you what we've come to - a bunch of Federal employees preferring to vote for the guy who's party platform is slashing government.

I like Johnson. Too bad he can't win.

I threw my vote away on Perot and it taught me a lesson I'll never forget. Vote for somebody that can win.

I'll leave the question of who that is as an exercise for the reader. ;-)

I've heard a few people mention Perot. That was pre-social media. This is a different world. The only reason he didn't win is because a lot of people who wanted to vote for him decided to vote for "somebody that can win", and then we ended up with the 1st Clinton that provided the notoriety for the current Clinton.

It's a little more complicated. A lot of folks, like me, were susceptible to the idea of wanting to move away from career politicians (sound familiar), and so didn't support Bush. Nobody in that camp would have ever voted for Clinton, a seriously sick politician that would do literally anything to get elected. Bush was just the next guy in line for the job, from a career politician pov which in hindsight wasn't all that bad, but those who wanted change... well wanted change and wasted our votes.

It was a time of voting "against" rather than "for".

I think the problem is two fold, two many people take the above attitude. Secondly I don't think our vote is as powerful as we think. The presidential election has turned into a "reality" show, I wouldn't vote for Hillary or Donald.

I will vote for Trump. Yeah, his attacks on those who attack him remind me of 3rd grade...what you say is what you are/uh ah you are...

but I believe he will strengthen our military, defeat isis, fix our open borders and cut out a bunch of gov spending on things like study of obese lesbians, how long will pizza last on Mars, shrimp treadmills...

I think his pride will make him do a good job as he would not want to fail before the world.

I don't really think the US will get much better though. As a Christian(with faults), I believe this world will wax worse and worse. We were blessed for many years because of our support of Israel. Now that we keep telling them what to do regarding Gaza and such we are paying for it. Look at history and when we don't stand with Israel. Hurricanes and such seem to coincide with those times we have not supported them or done deals with countries that want to wipe them from the earth.

I think Obama has done a great job if trying to destroy the US. One final thing is to let in a bunch of people who don't assimilate well in the US and many who hate us with a passion. He wants 10K of them and Hillary wants 65K for a start.

A devout Christian believes the bible cover to cover. A devout muslim believes the koran from cover to cover. It say to kills us...

Defeating The head of the snake would be pretty easy if you were not concerned about innocent bystanders. Our military is not allowed to use it's full power. It would be sad if innocents were killed while decimating isis but think about it this way. isis will kill moderate muslims just as quick as infidels. If people are living in the same village as isis then they have converted instead of being killed or running like that group that ran and stayed at the top of a mountain. One day we might also be forced to make a choice. Accept alah or loose your head. I can assure you that isis and the like will not allow non believers to co-exist like those silly bumper stickers.

I don't believe we could ever defeat the ideology of isis but we could destroy their organization and ability to set up a country of their own. We could at least not allow them to flood our country with their jihadist.

It just baffles me....They say they will place operatives in with the refugees and we say Duh,,OK lets take thousands into our country and meanwhile disarm americans. Fools in our own wisdom I'd say.
