she takes a while to get warmed up, but she will weld the world together if you hold your mouth right! :huggy:

It is undercut. .045 tube to a roughly .188 bung using 1/16 filler.

I wouldn't sweat that undercut. There's plenty of metal behind it! ;) I hate welding pipe to thin stuff. Looks like the weld was a little hot, too, but sometimes that just seems unavoidable. Did you back purge?

No no back purge and it was probably a little hot. I'm trying to learn my new pulse machine. You can't tell in the picture but this is a double wall pipe with the gap between the walls being less than .25. I had to weld outside and inside to seal off the gap that was fun. I won't hurt you guys eyes with my inside weld lol.

I want a tig machine so bad!!! Here are some pics done with my airco ac stick welder using some old improperly stored 3/16 6011 rods. This is going to be a front bumper for the xj when its all done.

Im going to mig the first set just to test and Ill tig all the production pieces. They'll be rowdy as hell

Since the weather has turned, I've been tanning a lot lately, on the clock. Two birds, one stone.

That's actually NOT me, a censor bar of that caliber would not be required(it's chilly in the shop)

On a serious note, couple drops I had laying around, notched and welded. Nothing special, just randomly assembled and the angled tubes were welded in that fixed position. Mig'd hundreds of tube joints, first couple times I've TIG'd any, didn't even dip my tungsten. Should've moved them closer, HAZ looks out of control, just no where for the heat to go.
