I was yelling at everyone to get away from me and not to touch my rig and finally we got everyone calmed down enough where they explained to me that it was legal for the crowed to roll people over there (as many had already done) but that if I got out they could not assist me in rolling it over (winching). So they rolled me over and off I went...
 
Wow guys. Amazing trip. It seems like we were on the lake bed for months. We prepped hard core and honestly felt like the LCQ was going to be a strole to the finish line. I guess you cant predict everything and the yolk on the back stack (1350) let go at the top of the ledge on backdoor. The whole week and the only time i don't walk it is when it counts. :lol: We had a hell of a time on Friday pitting for Will and running some of the hammer trails was just amazing. Nothing like hauling ass through the desert either. I will be back next year for sure to help Will (if not in the race myself). Pitting is tons of fun but im all about driving.

I will update as I pull some pics off the camera and when we get home. This is going to be a hell of a time catching up with school work. :flipoff2:

Like getting punched in the kidneys for 7 hours.

Coulda' definitely gone for some compression dampening but didn't want to take those shocks apart without a manual and spare parts close by.

no shit. ive been reading over there and it sounds/looked like a really stupid and arrogant thing to do. wtf, DQ'd and still running like a bat out of hell, running over other competitors. WTH? i wish i had a name like that and enough money for me to do stupid shit like that and (so far) have to suffer no real consequences.






will, mad props for racing and finishing........ and for not showing your ass (that i have heard of) and jumping out of your rig and throwing a wrench through camp's head. you are a way better man than me :beer:

Sorry Will, but personally I think what SC did was total jackassery and I'm glad my hot headed ass wasn't there to explain that to him since I'm sure I would have. Seriously, tell me of another sport where shit like that is legal by a racer much less one thats NOT EVEN IN THE DAMN RACE ANYMORE? West coast this, West coast that, yeah I get it:fuck-you:
 
Props to Will for his place in the KOH. Love to see the east coast whoppin up on the west coast...even better comming from someone with miniminal driving time in their new rig.

I don't know anything about the Shannon guy but that didn't look right. And to top it off, he can't drive! Note how the guy behind him cruises by easily.
 
it was bs that shannon cambell was even on the course he was dq'd 3 hours before he ran over will and cost him atleast 11 places at the finish. Will went out there to prove himself and try to pick up sponors and this jackass with big money backing him got dq'd and went back in the race and ran over will 4 times and broke his shock. I personally think that all of us need to go on PBB and tear Cambell a new asshole.

What shannon did was wrong for sure. We tried not to loose our cool and I give Will mad props for not coming over hot after the race. I can say that all of us in the pits were pretty pissed but the situation was handled in a calm way for sure.

And i would not go as far to say Shannon cant drive. The guy has won more offroad races and competitions than most of us will ever even attend. :lol: He was driving and IFS car which made it hard on him in the rocks. In the end Shannon and the owner of the car made it right,............still would have been nice to say we were top 10 though. :driver:

the best part of it all was that there is no way he could have been on that trail after a 2 hour stop. His little brother was 3 cars in front of Will when he ran over him. UMM blocking for him what you guys think
 
I posted a few times last night on PBB and whether Shannon made it right or not, that was still BS. I have been a fan of Shannon for a long time and now.....nope not anymore. If he was racing for position then maybey I might feel different but not after what I saw.

Also, i just checked PBB and a new thread was started about Shannon running over Will. It looks like west and east coast are agreeing that it was BS.

That is what makes it so wrong to me. Shannon was DQ'd. If he had still been in competition, then it wouldnt have bothered me. Make the obstical or become the obstical.

Very well said, that was my thoughts on it too. Competition is competition, but if your out, then your just trail riding, and no one crawls over each other rec. wheeling (unless it's your buddy, then it's different)


Good job will! To have done so well with no major sponsor money/support is a feat in itself, but to know you would have most likely done even better if it weren't for a jackass has to piss you off.

I still think he should post his experience with what happened over on the PBB. However he feels.
 
AH from the looks of it,,Camo is calling all of us ''whiners'' and thats the name of the game. He even said maybe Will was not cut out for that style of racing. Even talking crap about the way the valves were positioned. Saying everything except that a dq'ed campbell should not have been in the picture. Ha those guys are punks if you ask me. Lance and Camo. Sometimes i want to pay the star fee, just so i can tell them they suck. I only went to their site to check out the KOH talks.

Oh well, i just registered and asked camo if Shannon was still ''in the race or not'' wehen he passed will. And (just to be clear) if Will was still in the race when he was passed.

Camo responded with..Shannon was OFFICIALLY still in the race, as was Will.
Seams to me that the rules are very flexible. Ha!
