Let's see pics of deer shot so far this year. I leased some land In Montgomery county this year and tomorrow will be my first day hunting it. I hope I'm the first post

Hunting the family farm in SC. My neighbor had pics of him during the summer in velvet then he disappeared for almost a month with no more pictures. Started seeing him in different areas for the last couple of weeks with the same pattern of following 2 particular small basket rack bucks around, mainly where my daughter hunts on the property. She had her choice of stands but he decided to show up where I was...taken this past Saturday. Weighed in at 192lbs.

Its a good feeling to see all the hard work you put into a place pay off. This year has been super so far on the farm. My daughter got a good buck this weekend. He was sneaking into the food plot looking for ladies and she got the drop on him. 7pt, 175 lbs, 20" outside spread.

Not mine. I've only made it out 2x this season. Girlfriends brother in law dropped this biggun on her family's farm in Patrick County, VA. We are watching a 1-2 others similar in size on other parts of their property, as well as some smaller bucks.

Yeah I haven't seen him yet since he shot this one but thats on my list of shit to bust his chops on. Good thing he got it when he did, they had some lease issues with part of their property they lease out and had to switch tracts of land, so now the spot he dropped this one in is leased to a hunt club.

I don't hunt deer, but a guy hunting my land got a picture of this guy and a couple smaller ones. I am thinking about going bear hunting when season opens. Works out good for him, hunts for free just has to give me some deer meat.

I'm headed out this afternoon wish me luck

Keep your eyes peeled, the bucks are roaming around like crazy right now and the cool weather will no doubt stir both sexes up. A week or so ago I watched a young buck trotting across a field w his head continuously turning left and right searching for ladies. He was about to run right into the road in front of me when I braked and laid on the horn. I scared the hell out him and he spun around and bounded off back where he was coming from.

I came home about 2:30 today and walked down the gravel drive to the backdoor. Looked up and 4 deer were in the neighbors backyard, one was a beautiful, tall 8 point w perfect symmetry looks like a 4 yo at least. They bounded off, I went inside and grabbed my bow and some tinks I spread around the backyard. I sat on the deck for a while and damn if they did'nt come back. I watched the big buck browse 70 yrds away w my binos and wish I could have gotten pics. Hopefully I can get some close ups soon, w my hands on him !

I had a crazy morning! Didn't see anything until 9am then the flood gates opened. Saw over 20 deer including 3 nice 8's all inside 20yds. Had to sit completely motionless for nearly an HR straight as many walked very close. I don't think you've lived now until you've had a large buck ROAR less 10yds behind you. I nearly jumped out of my damn stand! In 23yrs of hunting deer I have NEVER heard that, crazy! This guy was about 10yds off the bottom of my stand in this pic. Didn't shoot anything, just enjoyed the show.

Personal preference. None were outside their ears, to the tips but not outside. Planned on taking a doe this evening from a different stand but none ever gave a shot, saw 7. May not shoot a buck this yr and I'm ok with that.

Gone over it why the hell didn't u shoot?

I'm not taking a shot that far (50 yrds) as he was walking and facing towards me and some limbs were in the way before the does took off and he did too. If I had just gone back to the driveway and waited 20 mins. after they ran off the first time I could have stuck him @ 25yrds when they came back !
